A Chinese group known as Sino-Michigan Properties LLC has bought up 200 acres of land near the town of Milan, Michigan. Their plan is to construct a China City with artificial lakes, a Chinese cultural center and hundreds of housing units for Chinese citizens. Essentially, it would be a little slice of communist China dropped right into the heartland of America.
This China City would be located about 40 minutes from both Detroit and Toledo, and it would be marketed to Chinese business people that want to start businesses in the United States. Unfortunately, this is not just an isolated incident. In fact, Chinese companies have been buying up land and businesses all over the country in recent years. There has even been talk of establishing (special economic zones) inside the United States modeled after the Chinese city of Shenzhen. It was inevitable that the Chinese were going to do something with the trillions of dollars that they have made flooding our shores with cheap products. Now they are rapidly buying up pieces of America, and many of our politicians are welcoming them with open arms.
The town of Milan, Michigan is a small farming community of only about 6,000 people, but big changes are coming their way. The following is from a recent (link) about this new project .
A group of mainland Chinese known as Sino-Michigan Properties LLC paid $1.9 million for 200 acres of farmland on Milan city limits in purchases this year and in 2011, according to local officials and property records.
Unfortunately, the goal does not appear to be to integrate this new city into the existing community in and around Milan.
Rather, it appears that all of the new housing will be sold to people coming over from China. According to (link) , the new housing units would be marketed to Chinese business people who want to start companies in the United States.
In essence, we would be looking at a new Chinese city right in the middle of Michigan.
“Forget it, Jake, it’s Chinatown.”
And the Feds have already approved some Chinese banks to begin opening up branches in the USA. Yes, RED Chinese banks. Why?? For what purpose??
I also heard the US government is building a billion dollar city in Arizona that will have no residents.
Wait til they start paying taxes. We’ll get some of our money back. Move ‘em to Detroit to get an education.
So they are trying to colonize us?
In the movies that never seems work out for alien invaders of America.
We’ll be fine. It’s not like they can take the land with them.
This Japan redux and all that happened was money was in each local economy where they invested.
It’s not like they can take the buildings with them if they leave.
Think Empire State Building. A Japanese billionaire and Trump bought the thing and when it was time to exit the investment they made a little spending money and ownership changed hands to the knew owner.
I’ve got mixed feelings on this. Milan isn’t exactly a hotbed of liberalism so you’ll have Chinese in a situation where hillbilly influence will be strong. There are a LOT of southerners in southwestern Michigan.
As far as special economic zones are concerned, I’ve long said that Detroit should be a duty free city.
It will be populated with PRC military types. Think spies. Saboteurs.
No telling how this will turn out. With all the debt that’s been accumulated, we may have to sell land to foreign interests to pay it off.
Their property. Their business.
Jerome?
Maybe “Capitalist China Takes Big Risk Putting Cash Into Failing, Tribalist Welfare State” would be a more appropriate tile.
It is the oldest real estate trick in the book to buy crappy land somewhere, mark it up big time, and sell it to out-of-towners who either don't know the value of the real estate, or will never show up anyway. An American example would be the Miami Beach real estate scam of the 1920s, where Floridans sold swamp land and plots of land literally offshore in the Atlantic to New Yorkers who they figured would never show up anyway. One of them eventually did go looking for his land, and blew the scam up when he actually found it (under water).
There are reasons these companies are targeting Chinese.
First, the Chinese are sitting on top of one of the largest real estate bubbles ever. People who got in on it are rich and want to continue, and people who got left out want to get in somehow. But the game is over now, at least in China. People need to invest somewhere else if they want to invest in real estate.
Second, it actually isn't that easy for just any Chinese person to legally come over here and live. So if the business was legitimate, why market towards customers unlikely to be able to live there? It makes it easier to run the scam, because the scam is based on the land and the owner not meeting too often.
So if this goes through, the houses will be built, but it will be a ghost city built to crappy standards but will look good in pictures on their website, and it will be filled with eager virtual proud Chinese real estate owners, but who still live in China. Then someone will actually want to live there, and the shoddy construction will be found out, and the game will be over, but by then the company will have disappeared.
We need to put a stop to this crap, or if we let it go, we should try to limit it to revitalizing areas like Detroit or some other city, and to supervise and enforce that these buildings are built up to code of an equivalent building in the country, because we will be owning these houses eventually. We might as well not end up with a bunch of crap we will have to bulldoze soon after the circus leaves town.
I have a Lithuanian ethnic experience and training camp a few miles from me.
An experiment in environmental central planning I think.
Big trouble in little Milan.
The only thing in Milan is a Ford plant and a drag strip.
Foreigners Across the World

CHINESE
Racial Characteristics:
Hordes of incomprehensible rat-eaters with a peculiar political philosophy and a dangerous
penchant for narcotic drugs. No one can possibly know what dark and grotesque things pass
through the minds of this hydraheaded racial anomaly which is, after all, more like a monstrous
colony of flesh-crazed carpenter ants than a nation of rational men. Only a fool would deal with
two-legged insects ..such as these. Our only hope is that the farsighted leaders of our own land
Will join with those of at least nominally Caucasian Soviet Russia and that together they will
treat us to the welcome spectacle of a thermonuclear obliteration of this yellow menace.
Good Points:
They’re almost as far away as it’s possible to be.
Proper Forms of Address:
Zipper head, Chink, slant, ching-chong Chinaman, yellow peril.
An Anecdote Illustrating Something of the Chinese Character:
Nine hundred million Chinese walk into a bar. They order a beer, pay up, and then just sit there,
sipping their drinks, not saying a word. Finally, the bartender can’t stand it anymore. “We don’t see many Chinese in here,” he says.
“And with this atmosphere of hedonistic individualism capitalistically exploiting the labor of the masses and wasting the people’s agricultural resources,” say the Chinese, “you won’t see many more.”
Of course, this was written before they came to own us.
We should play nice with them.
They hold: the pink slips to our cars, the mortgage on our house and a UCC lien on the contents.
We should be trying to recall when and why the dollar replaced the pound as the world’s currency reserve.
Once we can no longer print money and kite checks/treasury bonds, we’re royally screwed.
Context matters. They have been following the philosophy laid out in Sun Tzus The Art Of War very closely. And the left in this country has been helping them, due to their common belief in international socialism.
So they are trying to colonize us?
In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemys country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemys resistance without fighting.Kinda look like what theyve been doing?
Good movie.
