Hannity Destroys Occupy Organizer In Fiery Segment About Movement’s Violence

On Thursday night, Sean Hannity sat down with Harrison Schultz, an Occupy Wall Street organizer. The segment was confrontational right off-the-bat — with Hannity questioning Schultz about the violence in the movement, and eventually leaving nothing unsaid, offering a fiery “suggestion” to Schultz.

Schultz started off the segment by thanking Hannity for letting a “dirty hippie” come in and express his views, which didn’t sit well the the host, who pointed out he never said anything about being dirty or a hippie. From there, they moved on to Schultz saying Hannity made fun of his “friends.”

Hannity asked, “The ones having sex in public, doing drugs and defecating on cars and breaking store windows, cursing out police approximately all of that? You mean those guys?” The following conversation consisted of Hannity asking questions and not quite getting answers.

He asked Schultz why “a special, protective rape-free zone tent” was set up following the rape that occurred. Hannity asked Schultz for evidence, to which Schultz said The New York Times had reported that the NYPD sent rapists to the park. Schultz said it was a cynical, effective tactic by the authorities. Hannity further asked whether all the violence was a police conspiracy.

We then learned that Schultz is 29, and formerly worked as a a business intelligence analyst, but was laid off. He is currently in graduate school, paid for by student loans. Eventually, the segment came back to a point where Hannity began: what Schultz’s issue is with capitalism. He noted that he saw many protestors with Macs and iPhones. This is capitalism, he said, “You create goods or services that people want, need and desire. Right?” The Occupy movement fits the model, he said.

Schultz said the model is broken. Asked why, he said, “it is failing people, such as myself.” Hannity then told him: “Maybe if you weren’t spending your time with the quote, homeless people who were brought in by the police to rape people, maybe you could have been out looking for a job?”

Hannity pursued his point about Schultz, and those like him, wanting things for free. “Who is going to pay for your house, car, dental care, health care, education, who pays for that?” he asked. Schultz replied, “Nobody! It’s free.”

“You don’t work, you get free money for school, and you’re f***ing complaining and whining,” Hannity started, before finally exploding, offering Schultz a “suggestion”:

You are 29 years old. Stop wasting your time at Occupy Wall Street. Here’s a novel concept, get up at 6:00 a.m., shovel coffee down your throat. Hit the pavement, find a job, stop whining, stop complaining, stop blaming and get your ass out of bed, like everybody else in America, and get to work. How does that sound?

Schultz said to give him a job and he’d go to work. About jobs like a dishwasher or cook being beneath Schultz, Hannity asked, “Hanging out with with rapists, people having sex in public is more fun?”

“It’s more dignity in that than hanging out on a show like this with you,” he replied.

I bet it was...unexpected.

“I had to undress and bathe in the basememt. It’s called W O R K!”

About 50 years ago, as a new college graduate with a BS in Chemical Engineering, I started working in the rubber industry. They began us all working out in the factory doing production jobs as a part of our training. We did everything...ran mixers, mills, calenders, built tires, cured tires etc... One day I came back to the Squad office and was asked if I would work an extra shift...I had been running a black mixer for the previous shift and was pretty well covered in Carbon Black. They made me take a shower and change clothes before letting me go back out for the extra shift assignment.

There are a few jobs out there I would like to see Schultz do, and getting really sweaty and getting covered with carbon black for a shift or two would be just a beginning.

What a sorry piece of excrement this guy is!

I don't think Hannity said that on the air. He might have said "freaking," but nothing worthy of blotting out.

Especially not after the Beckel incident.

They hate capitalism because it is just. It is based on the trader principle that people should not give or receive the unearned, the undeserved, and something for nothing.

I was just listening to this worthless piece of sh*t on Hannity’s radio program, and I am just stunned.

This is one of the most arrogant, obnoxious, annoying human beings I have ever had the displeasure of hearing speak.

Hannity was apparently going to find him a job or try to, but no other person deserves to be subjected to the ****ing ***hole PERIOD.

SCREW HIM, let him starve to death in his own filth. If this guy is representative of the next upcoming generations, this country is sunk, and it ain’t worth saving. Let nature take care of ‘em the hard, slow, agonizing way.

The funniest thing since Michael Medved was grilling a kid on his show who had an Ivy League degree, but was working at Starbucks and trying to organize them under the I.W.W., instead of using his Ivy League education to get a real job.

He just had this whiny a$$ed little $h!t on his radio show and pressed him on what he “does” for work and how much he would work for. It was hilarious and infuriating at the same time.

He is in “media analytics”, whatever that is, and the least he would accept annually is $80K. When pressed on what media analytics is, he basically said he checks out the internet, listens to radio, TV is dead, and then writes his interpretation of what others are saying. CRAP! I’m being oppressed (apologies to Monty Python). I do that for free!

Maybe I should be demanding all the free stuff this little basement dweller is demanding.

I guess the difference is I’ve worked, saved, married wisely and been frugal for the past thirty-five years. Heck, if he “deserves” $80K for doing what I do for free, maybe I should start charging $200K for being a “senior consultant”.

If you’ve read this entire post, send me $35 c/o hs@foreward.com (I need new clubs)/sarc.

Better yet, to reduce tax complications please remit whatever you can to FreeRepublic.com. (I don’t want my taxes to go up or invite an audit!)

I wonder what analysis he could do that would be worth $80,000.00 to someone else?

He should do it and use it as a test platform and offer examples of his work to solicit bids.

Hannity is too slow on the pickup, because he’s always thinking of the next one-line cliche he’s going to parrot, rather than listening to what people are saying and responding directly to that.

That infuriates me about Hannity. It's why I don't watch or listen to him anymore. "Hey, Sean, ever heard of a 'follow up question?'"

You must be from Pittsburgh. I heard the houses there normally had showers in the basement so the steel workers don’t have to tramp the dirt into the house after work.

The interview was ineffective. Rather than personalize it to bad behavior at one locale, and the inept personal life of the guest, a Constitutional Conservative should use such as this as an opportunity to vent this young man’s illusions to teach the value of Capitalism. He sounds like he could have been coaxed into saying Communist slogans, for which not comment is required. Just let him expose himself; attacks are unnecessary.

I'm confused. Hannity is swearing on his program? When did this start?

Personally I have not watched Hannity in years.....got to the point the show was a non stop book promotion....and people like Al Sharpton were given air time to legitimize him as a political spokesman and Sean got quite vacuous at times....

I have to admit that segment was good....Sean didn’t even bend out of place a perfectly placed hair on his head...

I was a career counselor for about 20 years. I could find him 20 positions in less than half an hour. But you can’t make someone go to an interview and act correctly so they’ll get the job.

This guy really did seem to have some serious attitdue problems such that his attitude gets in the way of everything in his life.

I would hate to be this guys dad, although something tells me his dad was/ is absent.

I would have to pull a Bill Cosby on him and tell him son, I brought you into this world, and I’ll take you out...
