Global cooling doesn’t play well with the enviro wackos, the peak oil, and we are killing the Third World schemes. People who are freezing to death want to turn up the heat, not feel good about being politically correct. Leftist causes aren’t as cozy as a warm fireplace.

I am thinking of promoting my own Theory of Global Pancaking. My computer model projections show that the weight of the ever-growing human population combined with industrial activity is pressing down on the Earth, causing it to lose its spherical globularity and condense in a pancake-like manner. Eventually, if this process is not reversed by drastic action, the Earth will become a flattened disk, like an old fashioned long-playing record, and ships will sail right off the edge.
