In capitulating to the drug cartels and appeasing the Mexican government the Obama Administration has ordered 900 National Guard troops to abandon their patrols against smugglers along the border as reported by Brian Bennett for the Los Angeles Times. In explaining the troop withdrawal to Congress last week Brian J. Lepore, a director at the U.S. Government and Accountability Office, said their presence on the southwest border "threatened to strain diplomatic relations with Mexico."
The Mexican drug cartels move $50 billion in bulk product and bundled cash across the border each year.
Although the Obama Administration insists that there is no spillover violence from rival drug cartels for control over smuggling routes the dead bodies on the north side of the border stubbornly belie the President's absurd claim.
Indeed, former DEA supervisor Phil Jordan insists that the drug traffickers' most gruesome tactics including beheadings are occurring on American soil, and says three beheadings in the last year -- two in Arizona and one in Oklahoma -- "have cartel written all over them" as reported by KRGV: "'One is too many; two is too many. Three should send an alarm,' says Jordan."
In October 2010 the U.S. Department of Homeland Security acknowledged that the narco insurgents from Mexico in fact were sending hitmen or "sicarios" into Arizona to locate and kill those who are stealing their product as reported by Jerry Seper for The Washington Times: "In a memo first sent in May but widely circulated since, the department said a group of '15, very well-equipped and armed' assassins complete with body armor had been sent into the state to identify, locate and kill the drug thieves, who are thought to be independent operators."
That Homeland Security warning fell on deaf ears in the Obama Administration.
The House Committee on Homeland Security held a hearing last May on security along the Mexico-U.S. border, and law enforcement officials from the border states testified the Obama Administration is deceiving the public by insisting there is no spillover violence from the drug cartels as reported by Gary Martin for the Houston Chronicle. For example, Steve McCraw, Texas Department of Public Safety director, "said 22 murders, 24 assaults, 15 shootings and five kidnappings in Texas were linked to Mexican cartels since 2010": "There has been a proliferation of organized crime in Texas."
And it's only going from bad to worse said Zapata County, TX Sheriff, Sigi Gonzalez as reported by KGNS: "Things are getting more violent. The smugglers are getting more brazen. They're being given orders to confront us, so it's not more secure."
Of course, if President Obama believes that Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California no longer are part of the United States -- effectively ceding the territory back to Mexico -- then he would of course be right that there is no spillover violence on the border.
Indeed, in December 2010 the Sinaloa cartel murdered U.S. border patrol agent Brian Terry in southern Arizona when he stumbled upon a trafficking operation, and to add insult to injury the guns were supplied to the narcos pursuant to the Obama Administration's gun walking operation known as Fast and Furious as reported by Richard A. Serrano for the Los Angeles Times.
But don't let a dead federal agent get in the way of Obama's open borders folly as he trolls for Latino votes in an election year.
Given the treasonous abdication of duty by President Barack Obama to secure the nation, states increasingly are stepping into the breach to stop the narco terrorists at the border. For example, Texas has now deployed its own naval fleet to patrol the Rio Grande River as reported by Jason Whitely for WFAA: "the state is spending almost $3.5 million in tax money for six 34-foot gunboats, each which can operate in as little as two feet of water. The vessels are outfitted with automatic weapons and bulletproof shielding."
The drug smuggling and spillover violence has sent farm and ranch land values plummeting along some stretches of the Texas-Mexico border as reported by Logan Hawkes for Southwest Farm Press: "few buyers are willing to gamble on property plagued by serious border issues including drug cartel violence and an increasing influx of illegal immigrants streaming into the Valley to escape what some term the most violent region on earth."
The chaos on the border certainly does not seem to trouble Obama who would rather enjoy the perks of his White House job -- golf rounds, indulgent vacations, lavish parties -- than address the the nation's security. Indeed, with all his giggles, smiles and smirks it's as if President Obama is gleefully celebrating the country's collapse.

The more chaos he can stir up - the more the “diversion media” will do everything in their little glamorous news stations to look the other way at issues that are irrelevant to the current situations...
This is what COMMUNIST do - they create disorder among the lower level of society - makes others look at stupid stuff - all the while they are seizing the fruits that make this great republic run...
Just look at the commercials - they are tell tale signs of what the majority of the US is thinking and buying...
It should be guns, ammo, and US Flags! ...and a bunch of food, garden seeds, and stock piling water!
Those are great looking boats sitting on their trailers.
I bet they are a lot of fun to race down the river with.
How many arrests have been made off them?
If they deter then its as good as an arrest. Of course i doubt they deter but more likely make life more difficult for the traffickers who have to change routes.
Somebody should ask Obama exactly what he thinks we have a military for.
If he was honest he’d say, “To be sitting ducks for Muslims in already sharia foreign lands and to provide manpower to get non-sharia lands to become sharia.”
Because that’s sure as heck all he’s using the US military for.
At a time when Iran is getting a nuke they fully intend to use, Obama is promising Russia to get rid of our nukes and to stop developing an adequate missile defense system.
At a time when we are being overrun by Hezbollah and the drug cartels - a direct national security threat - he’s making sure our border stays WIDE OPEN.
But then, the drug cartels are allies of Hezbollah. They are working together. The drug cartels learned everything they needed to know from the beheading of Daniel Perle (sp?) and have been using those techniques because they produce the required terror. And Steve King (IIRC) has just uncovered ties between Hezbollah and..... the New Black Panthers, the Black Muslim group that Eric Holder refuses to prosecute and that is providing the violent threats to “avenge” the shooting of the one Obama’s son would look like if he had one. And the New Black Panthers and Hezbollah are both supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist group that the US is helping to gain control of all the Middle East).
IOW, the US government is arming the drug cartels, who are working with Hezbollah.
The US government is suing to make sure that Sheriff Joe can’t do anything to kick out the cartels, Hezbollah, or any of their people when they cross the border.
The US government refuses to enforce the border.
The US government refuses to prosecute crimes by the Black Panthers - allies of Hezbollah.
This is a full-blown coup. The administration of the lawless foreign enemy combatant in our White House is actively working to give Hezbollah, the drug cartels, the New Black Panthers, and the Muslim Brotherhood full access to enter the country and do whatever they want without fear of investigation or prosecution.
By the time Obama creates riots or whatever other “crisis” he needs to stop the election we will be surrounded by these operatives EVERYWHERE - and our military will be sitting in Afghanistan waiting for the Taliban to shoot them dead before they can shoot back.
This is as clear as the nose on my face. People have GOT to see the python slithering around our neck, wake up, and stab it dead. Right now.

I’ve not read anything about the actual deployment or results so far. I think there were a total of six to be built but don’t know if they are all operational at this time.

I think sending thousands of guns across the border to the cartels that the government has to fight with troops is a greater strain on diplomatic relations.
No surprise. Under Obama, we have already ceded a broad swath of land south of Phoenix to illegals and drug traffickers. It’s posted as dangerous with warnings to keep out.

It has worked to their advantage for the last 30 years or so. I believe they do not yet understand that the climate is ripe for it to finally blow up in their collective faces as more Americans can no longer give them the "benefit of the doubt". The combination of Obama and Holder has opened more eyes than they think.
And the cartels are setting up pot plantations in America's national parks.

Right you are...I think the media doesn’t realize that when it does blow up in their faces - it’s them that will catch first and foremost...the average citizen wants a scapegoat and they will get in the media types...that were “suppose” to keep the US informed and remain unbiased in their reporting...since they haven’t - it won’t be pretty for them at all...and I don’t feel sorry for them either...
I remember when FOX news did go after hard stories - now they look and act just like the rest of them...all bleach blondes with boob jobs sitting right in front of the camera with short dresses...like it’s Entertainment Tonight...geez...it was all a ploy to offer something different to hook a bunch of conservatives...
I don’t watch any news service - I get my info from FR and other international sources...
but I think each boat should also mount a Mk-19.
