When 138 Muslim clerics signed a document entitled, A Common Word between Us and You, it was portrayed as an attempt to unite Muslims and Christians. The document, however, asserted that the Islamic God known as Allah and the Christian God known as Yawheh are one in the same, that Christians and Muslims worship the same God...

Yeah, Allah and Yahweh are the same, except for the stuff where they’re total opposites.
Thank you for your kind words. I hope I have the Spirit of God in me ... I know for certain sure that I am mightily blessed by Him. I love God! I fear Him, but I love Him too.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Except for the thousands of copies accidently on purpose abandoned in the overhead bins on airliners and ending up on the shelves at the unclaimed baggage shops in Scottsboro, Alabama.
If the god of Islam is the one true God that Rick Warren affirms then Jesus died in vain.
In other words, if there are other ways to heaven other than Jesus, then Jesus suffered and died for nothing.
Islam is straight from the pit of hell and it is leading its followers to that destination, Rick Warren included.
“If you believe that there is only one G-d, then the fact that Allah and Yahweh are just two differing names for that one G-d must be axiomatic. To say otherwise would be to acknowledge the existence of more than one G-d, which would contradict the axiom that there is only one G-d.”
Just because others believe in entities or ideas that they lable as “god” does not make that “god” The same God whom Jesus called Father and to whom Christians pray. There are spiritual entities whom wish to be worshiped and will call themselves Jesus or god, but that does not make them Him. Just as an actor impersonating a politician or a famous person make that actor the real person.
Mohammed got himself into trances and channeled a spirit whom he called allah, but whose words are the antithesis of the Message of Jesus and the prophets of the Old Testament. Thus the allah of the mohammedeans is not the same God whom Christians and Hewbrews worship.
In my estimation, all you need to do to determine if the God of the Bible is the same as the Allah of the Koran is to ask Muslims one question: what is the name of Allah’s Son? Every Muslim will tell you that Allah has no son. The Bible tells us that whoever denies the Son denies the Father, so Allah can not be the same as the God of the Bible.
I don’t know if that means Rick Warren has “renounced” Christianity, but he would at least seem to be badly mistaken on the facts here. He’s not alone, though, there are quite a few denominations of “Christianity” that make the same mistake.
Actually the god they call Allah can be traced back to the Babylonian god Baal.
