One of the upsides to the flood of immigrants is the many peoples from Africa who have come to the DC metro area lately. Generally speaking, they are very nice people and good neighbors, without all the attitude you get from many African-Americans. The recent immigrants are happy to be here for the positive values of America.
Funny, one of my close African-American friends says she "can't stand those people from Africa." But despite my repeated questions (I am white), she won't say why. LOL!
We have neighbors with a daughter that knows a young black woman from Ireland who’s parents are; one Irish and one Jamaican. She is collecting plenty of goodies in addition to her AA admission to the university. She may have politically correct pigmentation, but she has nothing to do with Africa.
Just ax her if her dislike is because the new immigrants don't feel entitled to other peoples money, and actually have a job?
