Newt is flat out lying.
Santorum finished last (4th) in ONE STATE, and ONE STATE ONLY (Nevada). In a six-man race, he finished 4th in NH AHEAD OF GINGRICH.
Meanwhile, Gingrich has finished 4th or Worse in the following states: IOWA (4th) NEW HAMPSHIRE (5th) VERMONT (4th) MASS (4th) MICHIGAN (4th) NORTH DAKOTA (4th) IDAHO (4th) WYOMING (4th) ALASKA (4th) WASHINGTON (4th) MINESOTA (4th) MAINE (4th)
While Santorum's lone 4th place had NO Effect on Gingrich's final result in NV, it is CLEAR that several of the states listed above where Gingrich's vote total played spoiler to Santorum. This includes OH.
The statement just proves Gingrich is reverting back to his genuione phoniness and elevating his ego.
If not Santorum, it WILL be Romney.
Santorum hasn’t cost Gingrich a single state. Gingrich has cost Santorum two big ones.
Richard who? Who cares what he suggests. I doubt if Newt cares.
Shut up Richard. They all are staying in. I am sick of this commentary of this one or that one should drop out. It is taking away from the message. In stead of concentrating on Newt dropping out, why not talk about how crappy Romney will be as a President. That is enough for you to talk about for days upon days.
RICK WON NO PRIMARY STATE ANYWHERE BEFORE LAST NIGHT.
THAT is what Newt said and it is TRUE! PRIMARIES is the key word.
Look at the delegate count that proves it, or do you do that? Rick lags.
Newt has PLEDGED DELEGATES. Rick thought this was about winning state popular votes, with caucuses full of UNPLEDGED!
Hillary made that mistake.
Get informed, and hurry.
I gotta confess - I am a Newt fan. He is brilliant in the debates, and I see him as a guy who is qualified and could get the job done.
However, his “victory” speech last night was sad. He sounded like a washed-up fighter recounting his glory days. Way too long go over details that no one remembers or cares about.
Callista is way too robotic and doll-like. Looks like someone who would not want to muss up her hair.
His $2.50 gas thing may be correct, but it smacks of desperation. Reminded me of Bob Dole’s last second “15%” buttons, saying he would cut income taxes by 15%. Too little, too late.
Also, how many people were in that room with Newt during the speech? Must have been dozens.
The clock is running out, Newt. Don’t say you are taking Santorum’s advice. Until Super Tuesday there was time to play it all out and have everyone stay in.
10 states went for it last night. Newt cannot seal the deal. Bravo for Georgia, but he couldn’t get votes outside of his state. It is OVER for him and he will only be whitening Mitt’s teeth, helping him bungee his dog to the roof of the limo, from here forward. I think it’s time to face facts. If we want to be NON ROMNEY, we need to get behind Santorum. If Newt were 2nd today, I’d take the Santo sticker off my car and push for Newt.
You can like Newt the best. He’s the best speaker with the best vision. But he is not able to get votes. Let’s try and fight the Inevitable Rominee, please?
Gingrich’s ego won’t allow it. If he didn’t drop out after much of his staff left him for Perry last July, why would he drop out now?
The statement just proves Gingrich is reverting back to his genuione phoniness and elevating his ego.
If not Santorum, it WILL be Romney.
People, this is true. Gingrich’s voters gave Ohio to Romney. Even 1/4 of them, probably all the cheerful OH FReepers early on yesterday’s thread, could have stopped Romney’s win in OH.
if you don’t want Romney, we must unite behind Santorum. If you hate him that much, we WILL have Romney. But you are choosing to hate a true conservative family man who will rise to the occasion and steward, as our employee, the presidency.
Newt has now proven that he is about Newt, not the country. I will eat that statement if he drops out in the next 10 days.
Santorum needs to drop out. Winning a few primaries in Southern states isn’t the same as being able to beat Obama in the general.
Gingrich can do it, Santorum and Romney cannot.
I'm not going to vote for Romney; that's a given. I'm not going to vote for Santorum because he has lied about Newt Gingrich plus he can't win in the general election against Obama. For President, I'm eiher voting for Gingrich or, if he doesn't get enough delegaes, I'm writing in Sarah Palin.
I like having all of them battling for the hearts and minds of Republicans. The more they have to defend their positions, the better they hone their skills for taking on Obama and his lapdog media.
dfwgator suggests Richard Viguerie STFU!
Gingrich is ahead in the delegate count -time for Santos to SHUT HIS PIEHOLE
