House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said over the weekend that he hopes Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke sues radio host Rush Limbaugh over comments in which he said Fluke is a "slut" and a "prostitute" for advocating for free contraception as part of her college healthcare plan.
"I'd like to see her take him to court," Hoyer told the Montgomery Advertiser in Alabama. "She is not a public figure and, for that reason, she should be able to sue for slander, libel or whatever else might be involved."

“6)Georgetown deserves what ever trouble it has coming to it, for recruiting students like Fluke instead of looking for bright young orthodox Catholics.”
That was my first thought when I heard more about Fluke. There’s 2 ways to think about this. 1) Georgetown is now a Bad Boys paradise; or 2) Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to “go Georgetown”
Be Breitbart!
Sorry, but you’re wrong on almost every count concerning Palin. Even if ex-politicians were not public figures, and even supposing that paid public speakers aren’t public figures, best selling authors would most certainly be public figures. Palin is a public figure squared, and that’s just a fact you’ll have to accept.
You’d never win that one. The adjective-less (which is the key) use of the word prostitute has but one meaning. You couldn’t find a competent lawyer willing to argue otherwise in front of a court.
I haven’t commented on the Rush thing yet, but I will now. Rush stepped over the line and he knows it, hence his apology. I won’t say that I’ve never called anyone a slut, but I’ve never used the word in even such a minor public venue as a cocktail party, nor would I. To actually broadcast the insult was indeed going too far.
Calling someone a slut, even if you think it is deserved is something anyone with even the most rudimentary manners reserves for private words between friends and family.
Ok so even if she is a public figure, the attacks she has gotten from the left, specifically Maher and Letterman, if she wanted to she would have a good lawsuit..just look at that “Film” Game Change, that movie is 100 percent fiction, she could sue HBO if she wanted to
I doubt she could sue. I haven't seen game change, but you can bet Time Warner's lawyers have been over the wording of the disclaimer that accompanies all dramatizions of actual events with a fine tooth comb. If there is anything you can trust about companies like TW, it's that they've covered their rear. All it takes is a couple of sentences to defang any charges of libel or slander.
If liberals start suing for name calling...they are not going to be celebrating for long.
since Hoyer repeated the slurs, she should also sue him for continueing the slur by repeating it....

I agree. The left are no more than hypocrits.
