We're All Racists Now
The College Conservative ^ | February 23, 2012 | Amy Lutz

Recently, Hayley White, a 29-year-old mother in the UK rushed to her son, Elliot’s, school in the middle of the day only to find him confused and in tears. Most would assume that Elliot had gotten into a fight at school, had been caught cheating, or engaged in some other cliché’-worthy schoolboy activity. Well, the majority is wrong.

On that cold February day, Hayley learned that her son had been labeled a “racist” by school administrators. Earlier that day, the inquisitive boy asked a fellow classmate, “Are you brown because you come from Africa?” Now, had Elliot been a 19-year-old high school student, the school might have a case for racism. However, Elliot White is a mere 7-years-old. Instead of taking the child’s age into account, the school instead forced him to sign a document acknowledging that he had “made a racist remark.” I doubt that Elliot will want to ask another question in class anytime soon. For him, intellectual curiosity and punishment now go hand in hand.

During my 20 short years on this Earth, I’ve seen the word “racist” drastically change in meaning. I used to think the word was only reserved for the most prejudiced among us. If only that were still the case. Now, cries of racism are tossed about like beads at a Mardi Gras parade. Criticize the President’s singing? Well, you’re a racist. Oppose illegal immigration? You guessed it, racist. And God forbid you dare step foot into a Tea Party rally. After that, you’re pretty much a card-carrying member of the Klan. Now, not even naïve children are immune from the bitter cries of racism. It seems as if we’re all racists now. As accusations of racism grow more frequent, accusers often lose contact with fact and reality. As alluded to earlier, Rachel Maddow said that Newt Gingrich was going after “a southern mentality and racial allusions” when he said that “President Obama ought to stop singing, ought to stop being the Entertainer-in-Chief” after Obama was videotaped singing, “Let’s Stay Together.” Not once did Gingrich refer to the President’s race. He merely expressed his opinion on how the President spends his time. I certainly can’t see any racism in his comment, but then again, I am not nearly as cultured and perceptive as Rachel Maddow who used her fabulous mindreading abilities to see into Gingrich’s heart and found his racist intentions. Yeah, right. I know Obama is supposed to be America’s Superman, but not even he has that kind of superpower. Baseless accusations like this one rely not on fact, but on mere assumption. And you know what they say about assumptions, right?

Perhaps the most damaging aspect of baseless cries of racism is the affect they have on cases of true racism. When racism exists, it should be exposed, pointed out, and rebuked so that we all may learn from it. However, now that The Boy Who Cried Wolf seems to have multiplied and intensified, we are rarely granted this learning experience. Cries of racism are so frequent that few take them seriously anymore. They’re hidden behind the baseless accusations of racial prejudice and rarely exposed. Because I’ve been labeled a racist so many times for my conservatism, I even find myself rolling my eyes occasionally when I see the word “racism” zip across my television screen. Yet, this is not the right attitude. Racism is damaging, ignorant, and downright evil. When “racist” is continually overused, real examples of racial prejudice are diluted and often ignored. To say this is a tragedy would be an understatement; too many cries of racism are now synonymous not with racial prejudice but political opinion.

Thus, I urge my fellow Americans to not only abhor racism, but illegitimate accusations of racism as well. The latter perhaps do more damage than the former. In addition, it’s time to pray for a little more common sense in our nation. A 7-year-old boy is not a racist for being inquisitive, and politicians should not be labeled “racist” simply because they disagree with the President who happens to be of another race. Perhaps instead of Occupying Wall Street, Americans should Occupy Common Sense, Rationality, and Sanity instead.

The first time my oldest grandaughter saw a black woman and realized she was different, she turned to her mother and asked with awe in her voice “Oh Mommy! Is she chocolate?”

The roots of the present insane demand that people not only not have personal preferences, but pretend that everyone is somehow fully interchangeable, are several. It, of course, lends itself to Collectivist/Egalitarian ideology (the pseudo rational efforts to justify Communist & Socialist movements.) It, also, may be useful to anyone else, who has a compulsive need to promote uniformity in any variety.

What particularly needs to be looked at, however, is that it is very useful to that Educational school that seeks to promote World Government by the Norman Cousins formula. Cousins spoke to educational institutions & large groups of "educators" during the 1950s & 1960s, urging them to stop teaching how people differed--stop treating any people as unique--rather concentrate on how people were similar or the same. The child asking a question about another child's physical characteristics, may have caused some "educator" steeped in the Cousins' mindset to panic. (Cousins always promoted his approach by trying first to terrify an audience with descriptions of nuclear war.)

For more on Cousins & other one world types, off on a similar tangent: Myths & Myth Makers In American "Higher" Education.

I personally first confronted the Cousins' effort to poison education at the age of 18. So I have been fighting this lunacy--this effort to lead America to surrender sovereignty by the subterfuge discussed in depth in the linked article--for a very long time. I do not see this sort of thing as a series of irrational, but unconnected, incidents. It should be taken seriously.

You are trying to make sense out of policies driven by compulsive neurotics, seeking to force uniformity of thought & behavior on America's youth. It is only "rational" in that context.

Of course, none of this sort of thing is of any real benefit to anyone. But what people in the throes of a neurotic compulsion do, is seldom likely to be beneficial.

And on that note, you must see South African comedian Trevor Noah on Leno. I am amazed that Sharpton and the rest of the race warlords aren’t attacking him for being racist.

He’s funny, too!

The whole thing is worth it, but given your comment, you *must* watch the first 1:20.

I like your slogan. Collectivist/Egalitarianism Sabotages Human Potential.

Virtually every major social or economic problem in any first world nation is the result of too much political interference in the dynamics of human interaction. Of course local government must deal with crime. But even the crime rate reflects a social breakdown caused by meddling in normal human interaction, as part of efforts to re engineer normal behavior.

That is when the left will resort to widespread physical attacks instead of just accusations. It is already starting is some areas and invariable the leftist attacker believes they are "justified" in their actions.

And here we go...

Sharia in Pennsylvania: Muslim admits to attacking atheist over "Zombie muhammad"; muslim judge dismisses case, tells atheist he'd be killed in Muslim lands

This is enforcement of Sharia in a Pennsylvania court. The attacker supposedly got off because he "is an immigrant and claims he did not know his actions were illegal, or that it was legal in this country to represent muhammad in any form.

So, what is this all about?

The Pennsylvania State Director of American Atheists, Inc., Mr. Ernest Perce V., was assaulted by a Muslim while participating in a Halloween parade. Along with a Zombie Pope, Ernest was costumed as Zombie Muhammad. The assault was caught on video, the Muslim man admitted to his crime and charges were filed in what should have been an open-and-shut case. That’s not what happened, though.

What transpired next was surreal. The Judge not only ruled in favor of the defendant, but called Mr. Perce a name and told him that if he were in a Muslim country, he’d be put to death.

Apparently the muslim judge is totally ignoring the FACT that this is not a "muslim country," the defendant confessed to committing the crime, it was on video and there was no room for "interpretation."

But what did the "judge" do?

Judge Martin then offered a lesson in Islam, stating,

“Islam is not just a religion, it’s their culture, their culture. It’s their very essence their very being.

Well just goody!

My family lineage is from Scotland and parts of that historical culture would scare the allah out of the muzzy.

Those boys KNOW how to kick some azz face to face, one on one. Not the mobs that attack and beat to death single individuals.

Does that give me a free pass to attack a muzzie screaming "death to Christians"?

Oh hell no.

The judge screws up even more...

The Judge refused to allow the video into evidence, and then said,

“All that aside I’ve got here basically.. I don’t want to say he said she said but I’ve got two sides of the story that are in conflict with each other.”

And,

“The preponderance of, excuse me, the burden of proof… “

And,

“…he has not proven to me beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant is guilty of harassment, therefore I am going to dismiss the charge

The Judge neglected to address the fact that the ignorance of the law does not justify an assault and that it was the responsibility of the defendant to familiarize himself with our laws. This is to say nothing of the judge counseling the defendant that it is also not acceptable for him to teach his children that it is acceptable to use violence in the defense of religious beliefs. Instead, the judge gives Mr. Perce a lesson in Sharia law and drones on about the Muslim faith, inform everyone in the court room how strongly he embraces Islam, that the first amendment does not allow anyone ” to piss off other people and other cultures” and he was also insulted by Mr. Perce’s portrayal of Mohammed and the sign he carried.

Not only did Judge Martin completely ignore video evidence, but a Police Officer who was at the scene also testified on Mr. Perce’s behalf, to which the Judge also dismissed by saying the officer didn’t give an accurate account or doesn’t give it any weight.

Nice huh?

A sitting judge reversing the entire concept of existing law, both here AND in "muslim countries."

Just try to imagine his ruling in reverse and occurring in Iran.

Yeah, that`ll fly, right?

So here is yet another example of exactly what I stated in the previous post.

That is when the left (this case, muslim) will resort to widespread physical attacks instead of just accusations. It is already starting is some areas and invariable the leftist attacker believes they are "justified" in their actions.

"Justified in their actions."

And supported by the "justice" system.

This is only going to get worse and occur more often.

Not at all, I'm appalled that our schools are filled with those neurotics and they are influencing our children.
I consider it mental abuse.
