Am I To Understand That Value Voters Are Being Rejected By the Republican Party?

Thanks to Professor Jacobsen of Legal Insurrection and Dan Riehl of Riehl World View for their timely and informative posts.

First of all, I'll share a conversation I had with a Democrat in Michigan yesterday.

She asked me why she had only heard of Rick Santorum within the past week. I answered that because of party politics and money-on-hand of the candidates other than Romney, the rest of the candidates are having a difficult time getting their name across. "Well, I don't like that Romney, he's buying the election," she said, "and I'd vote for Santorum but everything about him sounds so negative." (Romney is outspending on negative ads 3:1.) "I like his talk about being pro-life, and the problems with free everything." she admitted.

I encouraged her to vote in the Republican Primary, since in Michigan, you don't have to be a Republican to vote for the Republican nominee.

I have family who are dyed-in-the-wool Democrats who are Catholic and understand where Santorum is coming from.

That said, I'm a conservative and I refuse to accept the unholy alliance between the establishment and the Ron Paul faction who are saying that social conservatives cannot win. I've had it.

Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post, and the Republican establishment types who continually make fun of value voters had better listen up.

Everywhere in this great country of ours, in little tiny towns and villages and rural areas, live people who have actual sense in their heads. They are the people who have so far picked Rick in Missouri, Minnesota, Iowa, and Colorado. We, not DC, make this beautiful country work. We are patriotic, open-minded, pragmatic, sensible people, who know the great dangers this country is facing. It is not accurate to say that the tea party only represents fiscal responsibility. The tea party, and those who will vote in droves against this President, know the peril the country is facing.

Does the Republican Party think that without touching on the cultural decay of our country, all at the hands of liberals, they will be able to win in November? Perhaps. I have seen the friendliness of local Republicans toward liberal Democrats who have said, "I used to be a Republican, until they started in with the social issues." It is as if the Republican Party would rather have liberals in the party to replace the value voters.

It seems to me that the attacks on Rick Santorum for actually naming the culprits, is being thrown overboard, for the Republican Party's assinine attempt to bring liberals and neo-liberals, (Ron Paul types) into the party with seats at the table and notebooks in hand.

Rubin calls Santorum a reactionary. That word was used by the liberal media to describe Michele Bachmann. We are now on our way to call Santorum a crazy, who says crazy things, like they did Bachmann, and I've had enough of it.

Liberals like Rubin use the tactics of the radical left, who are completely and totally interested in controlling every aspect of our lives, in order to argue for a modest correction or a finessed outcome. Consider the phony science of global warming, the lies of when life begins, the idea that competition is a bad thing, the equality of outcomes, the replacement of religion with science, and the disgusting attempts to silence dissent. Jennifer and the liberals use approved rhetoric in order to persuade people to vote against conservatism, or to not vote at all, thereby acting as accomplices to the destruction of the nation.

Dunderheads like Jennifer Rubin don't believe in the goodness of the individual, and when people like her make fun of those who believe in God and spirituality, it is because she does not understand. I want to help her understand.

People of faith are the only people who keep this country going. You needn't worry about your life, because I guarantee you, hundreds of thousands of prayers are being sent up to God on your behalf. To have faith in God, you must have faith in yourself. If you have faith in yourself, you will work to provide the necessities of you and your family. Family is the only rock upon which this nation can stand. And it's all because of God's love for us.

The reason Santorum is getting flogged for his beliefs is because all of the previous paragraph has become a "quaint" way to describe an America that the establishment thinks is gone, and is never coming back.

But the heartland is not the only place you will find people of faith. The truth is, every city in America has individuals who believe in what is right, good and true. It is too bad that people like Jennifer Rubin never seem to run in to enough of them to be able to form an opinion of the nation she lives in.

There is nothing Rick Santorum has said concerning the decay of our culture that does not resonate with people of faith. It is only the liberals, the establishment, and phony conservatives, including Rubin and the Ron Paul followers, who want to isolate and denigrate people of faith.

So far, and I'm holding out for some good news, but so far, if these attacks on faith and values do not end, the Republican Party is on the path to destruction.

So how long has it been since Christian America accepted man’s ruling that God and His laws have no place in public education. It is beyond ridiculous to me, that ‘birth control’ becomes the object of ‘faith’ when the Creator is not even allowed in our public schools.

Those Ten Commandments cover all the pegs of what it means to be ‘conservative’. It sure has never been a ‘church’ or traditions that has been the source of our blessings and our protection. It was the fact that was common acceptance that there was/is no man/woman judge had the power to out law the Creator.... Look out Rome here we come, Nero is playing the fiddle!!!

Religions have come and gone but the Creator has always been and our founding fathers knew from whence all blessings and protection originate.... Now our public education is ruled by evolutionary dogma called the scientific methodology. Anyone with a discerning eye can observed what this belief system has ushered into the fabric of our society.

There is nothing fiscally conservative about a social liberal. OR there is nothing socially conservative in being a fiscal liberal.

Ya, but I work at it!

That’s how I deal with people that accuse me of being Godless, for criticizing Ricks campaign style, after I’ve already acknowledged that Rick is right on the issue.
