Having followed the Obama "natural born" citizenship quandary since its inception, I had always viewed the controversy over Obama's birthplace and other records as a diversion from the real issue: Obama's dual citizenship precluded his constitutional eligibility. My position was also influenced by my desire to elevate discussion on the inextricably related issue of birthright citizenship as a key component in effective immigration reform. Birthright citizenship is the practice of conferring U.S. citizenship to every baby born on U.S. soil, regardless of the nationality, domicile, or legal status of its parents. The practice, seen by many as an illegal immigration magnet, also often results in the dilemma of double allegiance, a "supra-citizen" status held by millions of Americans. Although the State Department rarely enforces its policies discouraging dual citizenship, it does recognize its security clearance implications. And the department confirmed that Obama was born a dual citizen.

“Did the US State Dept. contact the UK Foreign Office and request confirmation that Barry was documented to be a UK subject at birth? There is no evidence of that.
Only the UK could confirm that Barry was born a UK subject. However, under the 1948 BNA, UK citizenship passes _only_ to the legitimate children of UK subjects, and children of bigamous marriages are _not_ legitimate and would _not_ be UK subjects at birth.”
I did a UK FoIA request. But the UK government professed to know nothing.
In due time, the will pay for that lie.
Moreover I don't need to say that he had or has a U.S. Passport in order to point out that the “Pakistan Travel Ban” is an ignorant lie.
Why so much animosity when I point out the truth?
Attacking me isn't the answer?
Now why do birthers believe something obviously untrue about a Pakistan Travel ban?
Because if anyone dares to mention the truth they will get attacked by irrational idiots who lie about what they said?
Sure seems to be my experience!

"Barack was also worried about what his father would think because I was so young, but he gave us his approval. He sent my mother and father 14 cows for my dowry. "Barack's father was only a cook so it was a big sacrifice. Very soon after, we were married.
" That was January 1957. Kezia and Barack Snr set up home in Jericho, a section of Nairobi created for government employees, and began a family. First son Roy was born in March 1958. Kezia insisted:"Barack was a good husband.
" By the summer of 1959, he was bound for Hawaii, leaving Kezia three months pregnant with Auma. Kezia said: "I went with him to the airport. He gave me a cuddle and I was crying.
"He said, 'Bye bye, see you later when I come back.'
" Instead, Barack Sr met Barack Jr's mother, Ann, in Honolulu. She was an 18-year-old fellow student from Kansas and within months they were united in what appears to have been a bigamist marriage.

In the INS files, IIRC a U of HI administrator complains to INS that BHO Sr. is jumping co-eds even though he is known to be married back in Kenya and when questioned, he told the administrator that yes he was married, but he had used the expedient of a Muslim divorce by telling his wife three times "I divorce you."
There is no proof that BHO Sr. was a practicing Muslin and there is lots of evidence that he was a hard-drinking atheist. There is no evidence that his marriage to Kezia was Muslim (she reports it was tribal) and neither of his two children with Kezia were raised Muslim (Roy converted to Islam as an adult.
IMO, BHO Sr. was lying both about bein Muslim and about there being any divorce when he tried to justify jumping co-eds in HI. There is no evidence that BHO Srs. marriage to SADO was a Muslim plural marriage and it would have been illegal in HI if it was...and also an HI plural Muslim marriage (which it wasn't, IMO) would have been illegal back in Kenya because UK law doesn't recognize foreign marriages that are illegal where performed.
Further evidence of proof of the continuing marriage to Kezia is the letter in the Stanford archive written after the alleged marriage to SADO (1964?) in which BHO Sr. asked Tom Mboya to provide support his wife in Kenya.
The INS files show that INS and Harvard administrators believed so strongly that BHO Sr. was a predatory bigamist that this belief formed the basis for BHO Sr. being deported BEFORE he could complete his degree. The INS files also show BHO Sr. acknowledged Roy as his son, but NOT Barry, on one form (1964?).
All of this is strong circumstantial evidence that Kezia and BHO Sr. had a tribal marriage and there was never a divorce prior to his "marriages" to SADO or Ruth N.
I was going to warn you that if you didnt cease this Obottery of asking rational questions, I would be forced to post a derogatory picture.
But it looks like I have been beaten to the punch.
In 1961, Kenyatta was released from prison right before Barry was allegedly born (in Kenya?) and independence was a forgone conclusion.
Did you find out (or does anyone else know...) whether copies of birth records from Kenya Colony and Protectorate were routinely sent back to the UK, or were they simply retained in the colony?
On the off chance that Barry was born in HI (Ha!) and BHO Sr. acted to get him recognized as a Kenyan UK subject, would the records of that recognition be in both the UK and Kenya, or just in Kenya?
I am wondering whether the mystery trip of BNO Sr. to HI in 1971 involved getting Barry recognized as a Kenyan citizen...a citizen of the newly independent Kenya and NOT a UK colony.
Why would I need to make any such claim?
I wouldn't need to.
The fact is that there was no travel ban.
Three years later birthers are still going around talking about a travel ban.
Why are birthers so stupid?
Because an irrational idiot will attack anyone who dares to point out the truth and then lie about what they said?
Sure seems to be my experience.
That is a bs, evasive generalization. Folks who hold to that discredited theory are in the distinct minority, to the point of being vanishingly so, amongst those who actually pay close attention to this issue. Okay, so there was no travel ban (only an advisory) on travel to Pakistan in 1981. Got it.
Now, you may choose not to answer the question you've been so artfully ducking and deflecting this whole time, but I'll present it to you again, as has been done already in this thread: Do you believe that he traveled to Pakistan on a US passport, and if so, what evidence leads you to that conclusion? Just why did "Obama" stop in Indonesia on his way there, when it has been shown that his mother was not in that country at the time, his narrative in Ayers' his book to that effect not withstanding?
Since I'm a fair-minded person who prefers clear and open debate, I've even pinged a couple of your "anti-birther" buddies to weigh in. Wouldn't want to get accused of "circling the wagons, after all . . ."
The elephant in the room that you (dreamer) are avoiding mentioning is the very important question of WHAT COUNTRY’S passport did he use when traveling to Indonesia and Pakistan when he was 18 and over?
WHAT COUNTRY?
The US? Or another country? It was researched and stated (somewhere on FR in the last few years) that there is no record of him having a US passport until he was a Senator. So what passport did he use? And this question has less than nothing to do with the “ban” tripe which anyone who has been studying the eligibility issue knows is a red herring. Didn’t exist, and only people who haven’t read much or are scattering red herrings even bring it up. Some people just have not spent the dozens and hundreds of hours studying up. So RJ is excused if he is late to the party.
But no one else is referring to this, other than yourself, and trying to paint everyone with it.
You really think “allmendream” is interested in reality? As a confounder and fogger he, she or it is only interested in latching onto any stray bits of straw, fluff and lint with which to make strawmen for arcane voodoo rituals.
The truth is the OVERWHELMING majority of persons questioning Obama’s birth legends have known for three years now that travel to Pakistan wasn’t officially banned, it just frowned upon and took a few more hurdles to carry out.
What I do know is that there was absolutely zero bar from him or any other U.S. passport holder entering Pakistan because of a supposed “travel ban”.
What I do know is that THREE YEARS AGO an elected Republican and a conservative made a fool of himself and the entire birther movement by talking about a “Pakistan Travel Ban” on CNN.
Way to go there champ!
And if the idiot birthers on this thread had their way - that would be chapter and verse of birther lore - and woe unto anyone who DARE to point out the TRUTH!!!
Do you see how attacking anyone who points out the truth - and allowing the untruth to be posted unchallenged - leads to those who would most like to carry water for your movement shooting themselves in the foot?
Do you think birthers have to desperately cling to and fanatically defend even the UNTRUE things that would cast suspicion on the eligibility of 0bama?
They sure seem to!
Do they need to?
Is doing so a good thing?

Let me get this straight. You believe that he was born in Hawaii and is therefore an NBC, and yet you "have no idea if he had a U.S. passport or otherwise."? Really??
Fail.
