None of the Republican presidential candidates got anything like the response Sarah Palin earned from the CPAC crowd. Not even close. I lost count of the standing ovations.
Is it easier to get the whole crowd surging to its feet when youre not a candidate, and nobody in the audience has an axe to grind? Maybe, but no other speaker at CPAC rocked the house like Palin did, either.
Could there be some residual protective affection warming a crowd that remembers how Palin was savaged during her days on the McCain ticket, and even more brutally attacked during the Lefts bizarre and despicable attempts to pin the Jared Loughner murders on her? Perhaps. Conservative audiences honor those who fight for their ideals, and never sell out. Selling out is easy. The rewards can be rich.

Run, Sarah, run! Our country needs you and your instinctive ways of governing. You were raised to love God first, and your neighbor as yourself, out of which flows all the goodness of righteous living and happiness in this life. This is something the left, and many in the GOP, cannot see because they have never experienced it themselves. Hence their rush to destroy you because you are the very evidence of true life that they know themselves not to be.
Simply perfect.
Sarah was so good yesterday that I started crying half way through and was still crying after she left the stage.
The lady can say more in one sentence than anyone else can in an entire speech.
If only...
I’m still praying that she will run. She is head and shoulders above any of the other candidates. Our country needs her, and I don’t see any alternative capable of fighting the good fight that is needed.
Usually Ron Paul wins the straw poll at CPAC by busing in his followers by the hundreds. This year he was busy in Maine, and Mitt’s money bought more buses. After all, the conference is open to anyone.
But there is no question who is best capable of stirring the base on everything that is needed—freedom, economic sanity, smaller government, right to life, families and communities, and a return to Christian values.
Sarah doesn’t preach religion, but she is not ashamed to talk about the things that really matter, and she sets the example that is needed.
I can’t even find the right words to express how special Sarah is.
She was wonderful. Maybe — please, God — she will agree to be the nominee’s running mate. Fingers crossed.

Sometimes we forget ........
2000 George W. Bush
2006 George Allen
2007 Mitt Romney
2008 Mitt Romney
2009 Mitt Romney
2010 Ron Paul
2011 Ron Paul
2012 Mitt Romney
How’d George Allen get in there?
Must have borrowed Ron Paul's buses.
I apologize for the triple post. I was getting that message something like “server not found”, so I thought my comment was not being posted.
Have been getting the same message all day. They showed the breakdown by age of those that voted...Youngest group had the highest number. Also the young people filled the hall and clapped after every sentence when willard spoke.
Was told that he brought students or young people in with similar religious background. Wonder if a time line of when the votes were cast would confirm this.
If the straw poll was done on a computer (an attempt to keep multiple votes being cast by the same person) surely they would be able to tell if the votes were coming from the students that were only there during Romney’s speech.
Does Mittens own CPAC or is there any one there who will expose his purchase of a straw poll. (Don’t tell me money can’t buy power)
