Aren’t there any “non-religious” groups out there that are equally offended by the government forcing them to pay for these things. Somebody, please tell me that life and freedom matter even to atheists.

Yes - this is just as much about individual rights based on moral objections to being forced to pay for my neighbors choices, especially when those choices are morally offensive regardless of religion (as the bishops’ letter expressly points out).

I'm an atheist.

And I am offended sufficiently by government intrusions on our freedoms, that I was and still am opposed to Obamacare in its entirety.

Unlike these bishops, who were just fine with it until a few weeks ago when one of its millions or new rules started to affect them personally.

They don’t.

The typical atheist hides behind “the quality of life” as his excuse for supporting things like abortion-murder, preemptive abortion (aka “birth control”), and euthanasia.

Next to salvation through Jesus Christ, God’s greatest promise to the living is, “I shall multiply thy seed.”

Next to eternity in Hell for rejecting Jesus, God’s greatest curse to the living is, “I shall cut-off your generations.”

The Left rejects the blessings and embraces the curses.

Not only that but there are Catholic based insurance companies.

I believe one large insurance company is going to oppose this. Their CEO was astounded that they were being made to offer such services free...and he had heard this for the first time on TV.

Obama really does think he’s king...or something.

Exactly. This is why the Catholic bishops are completely full of sh!t on this. They are 100% behind ObamaCare, as long as they can weasel their way out of certain provisions under the guise of some "religious exemption."

These bishops should be standing up for the rights of Catholic employers -- or anyone else, for that matter -- who determine that these provisions of ObamaCare are an outrageous violation of their God-given rights.

Well, did you hear any atheists say anything at the onset? I didn’t...Of course not! To an atheist it wouldn’t matter so naturally they wouldn’t bring it up. Those who have been given to keys of the Kingdom to ‘bind and loose’ would most likely say something first and rightfully so. Ya think?
