Well...it's either nose irritation from continued use of some sort of drug...or it's a "tell." If it's a tell...it means he's lying or withholding some sort of information. That is what touching the face habitually means (when speaking).

I know someone who has a habit of covering his mouth about half the time he is speaking, and it couldn't possibly have anything to do with his lying. He does this in the midst of discussions mostly about things academic, and not in the course of pretending to be an expert about any of it. I find him careful to separate fact from opinion during these discussions.

I did that because of the controversial nature. They can get out of hand. I usually allow comments. It doesn’t mean anything that I didn’t this time. Just a choice You Tube gives you. I just don’t have time to babysit them.
