Santorum kills Impeachment proceeding against Bill Clinton
The Freedomist ^ | 1-20-2012 | Collier Brothers

Posted on 02/07/2012 11:50:33 AM PST by TitansAFC

Rick Santorum tells South Carolina voters that he is the only conservative purist in the field, attacking Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney for being unreliable conservatives. Well, THE FREEDOMIST has already exposed Rick Santorum for his betrayal of a core conservative value, the right to work, the protection against Union thuggery. He is FOR right to work but NEVER votes for right to work legislation. He also endorsed Arlen Specter in his 1996 Presidential run, in 2004 against true conservative Pat Toomey, AND even endorsed Mitt Romney in his 2008 Presidential run. Well, worse than even his right to vote betrayal and his endorsements of RINOS and future democrats was the work that he did as a Senator in the Clinton years, when he and Trent Lott undermined the Senate efforts to bring Bill Clinton to trial after the House impeached him for lying under oath.

That’s right, this pure conservative, who attacks like a tiny lap dog (see Thursday’s debate for a classic example of what an attack lap dog looks like when he nips at the heels of others), was instrumental, along with Trent Lott, in stopping the Clinton Impeachmment proceeedings, in rescuing Bill Clinton from facing a fair trial of his peers. This action should not be surprising to the people who remember how aggressively Rick Santorum worked to torpedo a true conservative, Pat Toomey, in 2004, from removing a future democrat and former RINO, Arlen Specter.

Here is all the proof you need to see that Santorum, in fact, killled the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton, just another reflection of how Santorum is the face of Conservative Purity in Name Only (CPINO- which also sounds like the name of an exotic small wolf dop that yips and yips and yips at everyon’e ankles):....

I realize it’s tempting to assume I have that much power and sway, or in your case, just having a tantrum. But the entire universe of FR folks who read my posts will not impact conservative support for Newt.

We established the endorsement long ago and acknowledged it, FJR has done us all, and the nation, a huge service by bringing us this forum, but if you want it to be Newt Republic, just say so. I’ll find another forum and leave this one to the Newties. I don’t know if he’d agree. Mr. Robinson, care to weigh in on this?

Since you have taken the position to be in the reminding chair.... TRUTH is said to set US free. And the truth about the pious Santorum is NOT as pretty as some have chosen to make it. People itch about not trusting a man who commits adultery. Well, I lived through Clintionism, took my children to WDC to see the sights, summer of 1999, my young daughter was so disgusted by the vulgarity of bjClinton, she refused to get out of the vehicle to take a glimpse of the White House because of the low life that resided in OUR House.

From the article:
“...After the House impeached Clinton, the House Managers brought the case to try before the U.S. Senate.

Trent Lott and Rick Santorum did everything they could behind the scenes to destroy the House Managers’ case and guarantee Clinton would never face a fair trial.

Under Lott and Santorum’s plan, the Managers were denied the right to call a single witness or place before the Senate any trial evidence to show why the House impeached the president...”

I don’t oppse Newt because of phony ethics crap. He has an air of smugness and yet awkwardness about him which I find off-putting, like the fat kid whose family has money but has no friends. That’s more unflattering than I intend, but he sets my gut off. I make a living sizing people up and matching them with jobs, and I would not put any of these into a leadership position playing with my money or my life. Those people that I would are not in the race. Newt was a very able legislator and has a very active mind. All that means is that the Dems would paint him as crazy and/or cruel instead of stupid in the general election.

*******************************

Well, at least you have a rational reason for hating Newt. This is a perfect example of what a phony Newt is:

" I have two grandchildren: Maggie is 11; Robert is 9. I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."
~Newt Gingrich

Imagine saying something so ridiculously smug.

But are not handed down like the ko- uh like the Book of—uh, and may not be 100% accurate.
Look cool your BP a little and stop insulting people for being newbies. Those may stay home on election day. Except for anger I don’t see much enthusiasm for Gingrich. The emphasis is on tearing down and dismissing Santorum.
Perhaps Newt should drop out and support Rick.

Frankly, I have never been more disgusted with Freepers. I can only imagine the bricks that would have been tossed at Reagan here if he had been born 30 or 40 years later, based on his record as a union President and two term governor of California. Sen. Santorum is a good man of principle. Does anyone think that he has held 800 exhausting town meetings were it not for love of our endangered republic? I’m sure there are some, but that’s balderdash. I’m from Pa, and the guy has made me proud, very proud. GO RICK!!!!! Bob
