News from the Midwest is good.
In Wisconsin the Democrats union masters seem not to be able to find a candidate who can beat Governor Scott Walker in the recall election they have forced with the help of Mickey Mouse and Adolph Hitler who signed the necessary petition.
Walker is ahead of Democrat Tom Barrett by about the same margin he beat him by in 2010.
He is anywhere between 7 to 10 points up on all of the rest of the possible candidates the unions may run in their attempt to reestablish the protection schemes they use to extort money from workers they force to be unionized.
Wisconsins tax payers have seen a total reversal of the grave financial condition their state was in (going from a $3 billion deficit to a $300 million surplus in one year) and they like what Walker is doing.
In Indiana outnumbered Assembly Democrats have abandoned their childish antics and remained in their seats long enough to provide a quorum allowing a vote on a Republican sponsored right-to-work bill.
Its 54-44 passage almost automatically means it will maker Indiana the nations newest right to work state. No longer will Indianas workers be subject to union shakedowns and as Indiana Republicans are saying the state is, Open for Business.
Illinois by contrast is mired at the bottom of the list of states dead last in job creation. It is actually bouncing tax refund checks rather than start laying off the hard working civil servants that really run the state.
Illinois saw its unemployment rise by .08% on the heels of its record breaking income tax increase and a Moodys downgrade to the lowest rating in the country.
This means suave sophisticated urbane and oh so liberal Illinois has

Watch for Illinois and California to soon go bankrupt and be coming to Washington looking for bailouts. I also expect to see an exodus of businesses from these states to states where taxes are lower.
I met our state rep. Chapin Rose(R) @ a local restaurant this morning. He was there meeting with the locals and the coffee was on him from 8-10am. I asked him how the “getting Chicago to be declared it’s own state” was going, he chuckled said it would be nice but it ain’t happening. He also staed if it wasn’t for Chicago the state would probably be able to pull itself out of it’s problems with some work.
The one thing keeping the union/government-heavy states afloat is massive federal subsidies/grants. That’s where Obama’s “stimulus” money is going. The instant the federal money is shut off, Illinois, California, and New York will be unable to pay their bills. This is why they will cheat at unprecedented levels in November.
No questions, but a fervent request that Americans pray for the success and safety of Scott Walker.
Amen!
And more good news as per Chicago Sun Times: “Still, the overall share of the unionized workforce fell, from 11.9 percent to 11.8 percent, as state and local governments trimmed thousands of jobs. Thats the lowest rate since the Great Depression in the 1930s.” I’m lovin’ it!
My guy agrees, he’s very frustrated. Also had a few minutes last week with my state Senator, who’s so frustrated he doesn’t even like to talk about it in public lest he lose his cool and get embarrassed by someone with a video camera.
Having Chicago secede may not happen but somehow the rest of this state has to do something to get on the right track. I’m tired of hearing about how Chicago is the “economic engine of the state”. Let’s see how long that engine can run without any damn food!
New state motto for IL.
Illinois - The stinking and sinking state!
For you pilers-on, just remember:
Milwaukee and Indianapolis are LARGE cities by midwest standards with a population of 1.7 million in each metro area.
Chicago is a behemoth with a population of over 10 MILLION in the city and collar counties - nearly 6 times as large.
Six times as corrupt, six times as many monkeywrenches in the works, and many more times as many liberals, democrats, and gimmee-mah-money types who unfortunately not only breed, but also vote.
There ain’t a damn bit of difference between “downstate” e.g. rural Illinois and rural Wisconsin or rural Indiana. Those of us who are red-staters stuck in these blue-state havens ought to know, so just direct your anger at the right place, please.
I think Chi-town has the largest population per square mile of dead voters in the country, too!
Yes...after Obama is reelected (Romney will bomb) the feds will bail out the blue states. California will become a mecca of welfare...people who work for a living can’t get out fast enough.
In the end those who work will support those who don’t.
Yep, I believe it.
If you imagine how we all felt on Christmas 2 years ago when Obamacare was being jammed down our throats because the RATS had control and were bound and determined to have their way, well that’s live in the Illinois legislature every day. RATS determine which bills go forward, which don’t, who gets favors, which areas get the money and priority.
It sucks.
Illinois had to pass an exemption on it’s “HIGHER TAXES ON THOSE EVIL RICH PEOPLE!” tax increase to keep the millionaires at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange from bolting for Valpo, Indiana.
They are $8.4 Billion in debt, bills are being paid later, and later, but the Gov can still find photo-op handout money like his $3 Mil “Gift” to Rockford last week for a new Choo-Choo station, for a train that doesn’t exist, yet.
As long as someone keeps buyng the bonds, it’s still a big Democrat Party.
As someone once told me, it’s not “Debt” if you never intend to pay it back, it’s just FREE MONEY!
I’m so proud of our own Governor Walker for standing on principle and doing what he said he was going to do.
The recall will be defeated. We outnumber the unionista goons and won’t let it happen.
Chicago is more the bottomless money pit of the state.
Yup! I hope he beats the union temper tantrum recall, too! If we want to leave this sinking ship, I would like to keep “behind the cheddar” curtain a viable option. Especially somewhere around Lake Geneva/ Union Grove.
