"Right now we have a clandestine campaign going on to make sure Newt Gingrich is the Republican candidate because he is so flawed and unsteady he will implode in a spectacular fashion. This man is lacking in moral character and he verges on the psychopathic. If you need any convincing, ask yourself why would that sleazebag, Michael Reagan, the adopted son of the great Ronald Reagan, be supporting him?
I remember the 2004 election. George W. Bush was at Madison Square Garden where the Republican Convention was being held. All the broadcasters had a booth in operation. I had my broadcast booth close to Michael Reagan."

Bob Grant is a radio talk show legend - the man who inspired Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. Leaving aside his opinions of Newt, I can confirm Michael Reagan is not what he seems. One of my partners had financial dealings with him and found that Reagan had a appalling lack of ethics. My partner is a very prominent conservative activist and did not want to make this public for Nancy’s sake. But my advice would be to stay away from Mike Reagan.
“Bob only says he never said anything bad about MR; he doesnt say if he ever said anything bad about Ronald or Nancy Reagan. *shrugs*”
He likes Reagan.

That’s interesting, because he seems like a nice guy. I was surprised when I read what Grant said about him.
Haven’t read the substance yet. Bob Grant is the greatest talk show, call taker, radio performer who ever lived. Those of you who never got to listen to him late at night in NYC long ago missed something from your lives, and I don’t exaggerate.
He’s old now and I hope he wrote something outrageous, it’s been a long time.
It looks like good ol’ Bob has an ax to grind with Micheal Reagan. I guess Micheal should have been more cordial to him. He is kind of the father of Right wing talk radio. Bob did the first interview with Ronald Reagan when he was a radio guy in California back in the 60’s and Reagan was running for Gov. Here is Bob recounting his first meeting with Reagan. It is an interesting piece on Reagan in his early political career.

“Yet he hates the only candidate who is willing to call out Obama on Alinsky.”
Is it possible Grant knew Alinsky?
Ha ha read it, I love Bob Grant. He can be unpredictable on personal reactions. You never knew which caller he would turn on as a “fake, phoney, fraud”. But he is great and I love him.
It sounds like someone pissed in Bob Grant’s breakfast cereal.
The sleaze bag is Ron Reagan Jr., NOT Michael Reagan.
I know where Grant is coming from on the Reagan children. I recall Bob discussing with great love and reverance a certain ex marine hero, and Bob hinted at the time that sadly, the son of that man - then Governor McGreevey - was a degenerate.
That doesn't prove to me that he didn't say something in the past publicly or privately about RR that irked Michael Reagan. It's a curious thing is all. Maybe he's just another media whore who will do or say anything to become relevant.
So, the only guy named in your post with a lack of ethics is Michael Reagan.
You go by the hidden screen name of montag813 and your unnamed, very prominent conservative activist, business partner accuses MR of lack of ethics.
There is no doubt that there is a lack of ethics in your post, and you are it.
This is the very crappy kind of hidden media dealings we are always bitching about, I know a guy, that knows a guy, that knows a guy........ anonymous source, BUT, he is very, very conservative and trustworthy.
Trust me.
I’m up here, and I don’t like him.
Yeah, I was up there for several months on a job assignment last year, and I didn’t like him either!
Stop whining. I was purposely non-specific. But it is important to many on FR who regularly deal with conservative 501(c)4's and 527s to be very careful when dealing with Mr. Reagan.
As soon as you go Reagan’s site, he has an advertisement pop-up to buy an @Reagan.com email address.
Not only is Levin inspired by Bob Grant, he seems to be doing a three hour impersonation of him. If anyone out their knows Italian, please post the Mario Cuomo Salute.

Bob Grant is great conservative talk show host, a medium he virtually pioneered going back to KABC in Los Angeles in the 60’s. Like just about everyone else, he occasionally lays a real egg. I don’t get why he calls Michael Reagan a sleazbag. I read the rest of the article and he talks about one strange encounter at the 2004 Republican Convention, but it doesn’t sound like anything that would justify calling the guy a sleazebag. I don’t get it.
He’s a Romney supporter, and Reagan endorsed Newt. That’s why he’s bringing it up. I understand why he’s mad at him, since he said, “I know who you are.”
OK, I’ll do the best phonetic spelling:
Eh, Mario! Azienda me. Tu proviono sfachim! (And he is)
I love that still and I credit Grant with helping New Yorkers get rid of that real sleazbag, Mario Cuomo.
