It means “Fatherland or death, we shall overcome.” Here’s what Fidel Castro had to say about the phrase, “Hugo Chavez has tried to steal an inspiring phrase — ‘Patria o muerte, venceremos.’ It does not belong to him. It belongs to a free Cuba.”
Gaffe? Maybe but Romney speaks Spanish. Was he just babbling or was this another flash of the progressive Romney hiding under his carefully crafted facade? We’ve heard that Gingrich has said good things about Franklin Roosevelt.
The video shows most (but not all) of his comments were compliments about how effective a politician Roosevelt was and how skillfully he got his agenda into law. Remember Ronald Reagan was a loyal Democrat who raised funds for Roosevelt and Rush Limbaugh has often said Obama has been very effective in carrying out his plans to destroy America.
Those “pure” conservatives who want to smack Gingrich over his FDR comments might want to keep these facts in mind. Does anyone think a President Gingrich would give us New Deal II?
While no one can say Romney is a Nazi sympathizer, in a 2007 interview Romney, commented on another World War II leader, “Liquefied coal, gosh. Hitler during the Second World War — I guess because he was concerned about losing his oil — liquefied coal. That technology is still there.”
We know about the vitriolic hated Marianne has for Newt. This gives rise to talk about “family values” but try this for “family values?”
Willard’s wife Anne has donated to Planned Parenthood. When asked about that Willard’s response was “Her positions are not terribly relevant to my campaign.”..

Uh, Mittens? This was also a slogan used by Symbionese Liberation Army in the 70’s.
And don’t forget Romney’s ties to Saul Alinsky.
