What are we to make of Newts win in South Carolina? Several things, I think...
1. Newt is a winner... 2. Newt is a fighter... 3. Newt can blow it...
There, [in South Carolina], in one night, and within the span of only one hour, we saw the two sides of Newt: We saw the good Newt who can win this thing and, in so doing, fundamentally transform American politics, as he would say.
But we also saw the bad Newt, the undisciplined and unfocused Newt: the Newt who too often tries to wing it and fails.
Im rooting for the good Newt, but I fear the bad Newt.
So, Gingrich will be called "undisciplined" from now until his second term is over, because he'll keep
LOL....youve been drinking the MSM Kool-aide!....Lots of it!... Have u seen Obama without his teleprompter??????.....a 5th grader could beat him in a debate!...the Emperor has no Clothes!!!
If we do not stand together, we shall truly fall apart.
He did slide into his stump speech last night.
However, I think that’s a good thing. He was getting FREE national TV and press coverage. This allowed him to get his message out to people who won’t or can’t get out to one of his campaign appearances.
You want to know why the GOP elite doesn’t want Newt back?
It’s because it’s the DC version of “I know what you did last summer”, he knows where the figurative bodies are hidden.
They threw him under the bus and they figure it’d be payback time once he was back.
They may be right.
];-)
Debates show contrast. It also measures one against another. You don’t have to like them or watch them.
ONE?
I guess you missed Gingrich laying out the form of debate he'd use. No moderator. Only a timer.
Palin is often referred to here as “Sarah.” And people have been referring to Gingrich-fondly-as “Newt” since before he became speaker. We call Limbaugh “Rush” and Glenn “Beck.” I don’t think there’s any meaning or pattern at all.
I'd say just the opposite. They suck!
Anyway, IBTZ, and not that it's a fact, it's also time for fun (especially since I missed all the action last night)...
If that account is suspended or banned, why is he or whatever allowed or able to post?
“I like Newt best, but he went on too long afterward last night; reoeating the 7 Lincoln-Douglas style debates with der reader & his teleprompter is becoming redundant. Mister NOOT needs to stir a little brevity is the soul of wit into his performances. Make America want to hear more without his vaccinated with a phonograph needle presentations.”
You are probably the same person who wonders why every stump speech sounds the same.
“Funny how that works. Almost like the media is Dem controlled.”
As long as I see the media (including Faux News and so-called conservative pundits) slamming Newt and going to bat for Dudley Do Right I will root for Newt.
Most voters will pay attention only to the abridged version, through the filter of the MSM. Unless a MMA fight breaks out, no one with a life will sit through a full debate. In addition, you have the whole issue of TV imagery. Remember Nixon/Kennedy?
Scrap the presidential debates, now.
The only bigger waste of time is the State of the Union address, and it is worse also because it ties up 60% of the non Food Network em spectrum for 3 hours.
Our long national nightmare continues Tuesday.
Wow, tough room. On the other hand, he was blog-pimping. But a Cain supporter who didn’t buy into the Gingrich revolution, but likes Santorum — I can see the problem.
Gingrich would wipe the floor with Obama. Bring it on!!
The audience was so tough that they CHEWED THE CHAIRS into toothpicks before beating anyone with them!
