“Sovereign ruler”?

I have never read that in our constitution...

Elected official, yes. But certainly not above the law!

King George was a “Sovereign”, that is until the founders and the people of this land told his Armies otherwise...

Is anyone else seeing something ominous here? With language like this, I am very concerned about upcoming national elections....

sov·er·eign (svr-n, svrn)
n.
1. One that exercises supreme, permanent authority, especially in a nation or other governmental unit, as:
a. A king, queen, or other noble person who serves as chief of state; a ruler or monarch.
b. A national governing council or committee.
2. A nation that governs territory outside its borders.
3. A gold coin formerly used in Great Britain.

[Middle English soverain, from Old French, from Vulgar Latin *supernus, from Latin super, above; see uper in Indo-European roots.]

“The president isn’t like ordinary people. He doesn’t have a free moment to spare. Every waking hour is already allocated to activities of higher priority.

You mean like some of the 90 plus rounds of golf, not to mention the numerous uncounted campaign events, speeches, fund raisers, and other distractions to actually doing something for the country instead of to it.

Again, reality is almost impossible to satirize, when reality and satire are almost indistinguishable.

Let me get this straight, zer0 used to masquerade as a Constitutional law professor, yet he now considers himself a “sovereign”? What more proof that Hussein is setting himself up as Emperor Hussein, Dictator of Amerika!

Since all power and authority is delegated by the People through the Constitution, the President is not a “sovereign” (highest authority.) He cannot rule and the People are never “subjects.” He may govern as delegated in the Constitution.

It would appear entirely appropriate that the Courts may rule on state and federal eligibility requirements for a candidate. If the President does not wish to produce the documents establishing his eligibility, then he should be left off the ballot.

Kind of hard to go back at this point and ask him to prove he was eligible.

“The president is the sovereign ruler of this country,” Toady asserted. “Where he goes and what he does is solely at his discretion. He does not have to answer to the demands of lower ranking authorities. He has what is called ‘sovereign immunity.’”

The appropriately named Toady doesn't seem aware that Barry, like every other citizen, is subject to the law. Actually, this has to be a joke because I cannot believe that any attorney would refer to Obama as being a "ruler." He's the frigging head of the executive branch who is to make sure that all federal laws are executed in a manner consistent with the Constitution. He cannot say no to a judge with impunity about a case in which he is involved any more than Bill Clinton could lie to a judge.
