The One Simple Reason Newt Gingrich Will Not Win The General Election: Women

Posted by RealQuiet (Diary) December 7th

Newt Gingrich has conducted a brilliant campaign strategy since he stumbled back in late spring regarding Paul Ryan’s Path to Prosperity Plan. He has been masterful in debates and shown an eagerness to take on and fight the media elite. He has owned up to his personal and political mistakes and stated candidly what his positions are, though many may disagree with them but still live with them.

He hasn’t shown the brash ego and self-centeredness that reared its ugly head so many times when he was the Speaker of the House. He certainly seems to be a changed man.

BUT…..

Though Gingrich has engaged in his own political cronyism and playing both sides of the fence on political issues like Mitt Romney has in the past (which the Republican voter seems to be willing to overlook), there is one thing that will stop him from winning the general election:

A considerable majority of American women will not vote for him because of his past marital actions of betrayal

Most American women whether they be Democrat, independent, or Republican will not vote for a man who cheated on his previous wife(s). Among women, men like this cannot and will not be trusted. People like to point out that Ronald Reagan had two wives. The key thing is Ronald Reagan never cheated on Jane Wyman, his first wife. She left him because there was nothing left in common between them as she claimed. That is a very big difference.

The One Simple Reason Newt Gingrich Will Not Win The General Election: Women

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah, the women are going to go for that manly stud-muffin, the passionate Barack Hussein Obama, who has shown the American public that he and Michelle are married because they have the same last name and little else, certainly not aircraft for vacation purposes. But what about their kids? Well, perhaps there's a genetic link, but given what we see and what we fail to see between the two who are supposed to be their parents, if the offspring were to bear the name of the means by which their mother became with child, it would probably be the medical science equivalent of a common kitchen implement usually used around Thanksgiving.

Bull. The only place women aren't likely to vote for him in significant numbers is in states where they prefer their men neutered. And guess what...we won't win those states anyway. The states that COUNT this cycle are where women prefer real men that fight. Sissy boy is in trouble.

What an idiotic article.

How absurd. I am a female from the Bible belt; married twice; both husbands comitted adultery more than once. I plan to vote for Newt. Evidently the Dems convinced me when Billy Boy Clinton was president that it didn’t matter at all.

‘Why I’m Giving Newt a Pass on the Scarlet-A Factor’

http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/01/why_im_giving_newt_a_pass_on_the_scarlet-a_factor.html

Excerpt:

The point is this. Newt Gingrich, like Bill Clinton, is a Boomer in this sexually liberated regard. And right this very minute, there are as many women who identify with Callista Gingrich, the mistress who became a wife, as will identify with the formerly scorned ex. In my own circle of close female friends, two of them were former mistresses.
As Boomers, we would have to do a whole lot of Scarlet-A shunning to keep the marriage vow-breakers out of our midst. Unfortunately, that would mean most of us Boomers would have fewer friends than we could count on one hand. Amongst the younger generations, the only place where one can beam solidly on the side of chastity is at church on Sunday.

At any rate, fair is fair, and since the 2nd Mrs. Gingrich is now nursing her divorce-grudge in public, the public needs to remember just how it was that Marianne came to be the second wife of Newt Gingrich. She had an affair with him while he was still married to wife #1. Exactly so, dear readers. The second wife, now running to the press crying foul over Newt’s adultery, was his mistress (in an adulterous affair) before she became his wife.

“They voted for Bill Clinton, in droves.”

Exactly. This is just a bunch of crapola. I am planning to enthusiastically vote for Newt and so are many other conservative women friends of mine.

You’ve got a lot of ‘ifs’ in your hypothesis there, particularly IF Santorum can carry PA. That’s a state he lost his last election in by 18 points, not 4-5, but 18. That’s a ‘favorite son?’

The “women” Santorum would carry would be pro-life women only. That may include every woman on this board, but it would constitute a minority of the general election ‘women’s vote.’ “Women” would fight him tooth and nail to retain their sacred right to ‘choose.’ I’d venture Santorum would carry fewer women’s votes than similarly pro-life Newt because, unlike Newt, Santorum is known for socially conservative issues only.

“Women” will make a trade-off on ‘choice’ if the candidate has strengths in other areas that overshadow that one issue, i.e., national security, the economy. While Santorum is actually knowledgeable on foreign affairs, he’s not KNOWN for that, he’s KNOWN only as a pro-family, pro-life candidate, and that’s not enough to win the presidency.

What's the difference between rolling over and dying and a suicidal banzai charge. Both ways you are a loser. All I'm saying is lets be smart about it, not overreach. When I'm holding no cards I do not go all in. I'm just proposing a Long War strategy for the conservative movement. Win a little at a time and your gains will be solidified for generations. Our successes have been fleeting because we play with all our cards showing. We demand 100% but gain nothing. I want to get to 100%, I want to win. I say keep advancing, but in smaller chunks. Do moderates rule, of course not, but we still need them to win. I know this because I do not live in the Bubble. I'm shrewd enough to realize that the opinions of myself, my family and friends do not represent all voters nationwide. Our Selves Alone (Sinn Fein in Gaelic) do not represent 50%+, the Left less so. If we want to win we have to appeal to the middle, or a least not scare the bejesus out of them. Will subterfuge be used to bring the middle along, sure, but so what. I'd rather be a little devious and win, then all high and noble and lose. Losers will never be able to promote Liberty.

Excerpt:

I want to be coldly analytical, not moralize, here. I want to tell you what Mr. Gingrich’s behavior could mean for the country, not for the future of his current marriage. So, here’s what one interested in making America stronger can reasonably conclude—psychologically—from Mr. Gingrich’s behavior during his three marriages:
1) Three women have met Mr. Gingrich and been so moved by his emotional energy and intellect that they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with him.
2) Two of these women felt this way even though Mr. Gingrich was already married.
3 ) One of them felt this way even though Mr. Gingrich was already married for the second time, was not exactly her equal in the looks department and had a wife (Marianne) who wanted to make his life without her as painful as possible.
Conclusion: When three women want to sign on for life with a man who is now running for president, I worry more about whether we’ll be clamoring for a third Gingrich term, not whether we’ll want to let him go after one.
4) Two women—Mr. Gingrich’s first two wives—have sat down with him while he delivered to them incredibly painful truths: that he no longer loved them as he did before, that he had fallen in love with other women and that he needed to follow his heart, despite the great price he would pay financially and the risk he would be taking with his reputation.
Conclusion: I can only hope Mr. Gingrich will be as direct and unsparing with the Congress, the American people and our allies. If this nation must now move with conviction in the direction of its heart, Newt Gingrich is obviously no stranger to that journey.
5) Mr. Gingrich’s daughters from his first marriage are among his most vigorous supporters. They obviously adore him and respect him and feel grateful for the kind of father he was.

‘Newt Gingrich’s three marriages mean he might make a strong president — really’

Well at least when the 3:00 AM phone call comes Newt won’t need 16 hours and a dip in the surf to think about what to do.

Newt Gingrich has:
• conducted a brilliant campaign strategy
• been masterful in debates
• shown an eagerness to take on and fight the media elite
• owned up to his personal and political mistakes
• stated candidly what his positions are
• hasn’t shown the brash ego and self-centeredness
• seems to be a changed man.

BUT…

• cheated on his previous wife(s)

…Reagan never cheated on Jane Wyman, his first wife.

I will contend two things with regard to your "argument":

THE MANIFOLD REASONS NEWT WILL CARRY A REPUBLICAN SENATE IN WITH HIM

You belittle and underestimate Conservative women with knowledge of our country's plight.

I'll assume you never shared a bed with Jane and Ronnie.
No one, nobody, nowhere knows what goes on between a man and his wife.
Few people "know" what goes on when they are apart.
Fewer people even "care".

Only widespread open fraud and ignorance will prevent Newton's Presidency.
I love it when liberals blow their money on such a cause as Obammie.

The women in the something for nothing crowd (Dimocrat plantation) will vote Dim no matter what. I believe that Independent women voters desiring economic prosperity and stability will in the end turn away from Obumma's dismal sinking ship of state.

IMHO Newt is the best we've got. He's battle hardened and focused on winning. His experience puts him ahead of the pack. He takes the fight to the enemy and in the process makes the other hopefuls look like namby-pambys. We cannot survive any more middle of the road peddlers of politeness (like the Mittens) that policy wise are indistinguishable from the left. We need a Merciless Warrior/Chieftain. We need Newt.

If we lose this one, the next ones will not matter so much.

The same can be said if we "win" it with Romney! Why would we want to trade a Progressive/Marxist for a Progressive/liberal? Especially if we are fortunate enough to hold the House and take the Senate.

If the top of the ticket is not attractive to a majority of voters, then you assume a lot with your last sentence. Calling Romney a progressive/liberal makes you sound like you are coming from the fringe. Let a little reality enter your thinking and get out of your own bubble so you can see it.

SOUTH CAROLINA EXIT POLL: Most interesting poll result: according to Fox, Gingrich won the majority of married women.

Nice exhibit. Very nice. But Newt is still the best we have. The left has been employing realpolotik against us for decades. It’s time we did the same. And Newt is the one who can do it.

Different strokes. I wonder if anyone else recalls the Tom Delay interview with Rush after he quit running the House of Rep. to focus on the frivolous charges. Rush was complimenting his work, reliving the 94 takeover and trying to get him to give a positive upbeat recap. He mentioned what it was like to work with Newt. Delay broadsided Rush with something clearly unexpected. He replied, now that I'm retired, I can tell you he is unreliable and impossible to work with. He barks demands on needing the House to vote on something immediately..I'd stay up 24/7 calling everyone; wheeling, dealing, explaining, negotiating. Without sleep, I'd arrive in his office the next morning with the good news of having the votes to pass. Newt would say forget it or take the opposite position. He constantly did it. Was a terrible manager.

I love Newt's mind and historical lessons...but his hugging of dems and embracing their issues (like McCain) to satisfy his ego repels me. I couldn't sit next to Hillary, Pelosi, Sharpton without a vomit bag, let alone agree with their positions, which anyone with an IQ of 75 knows they're wrong.

All unpredictability and social issues aside; IMO, when a huge, complicated business is teetering on bankruptcy, you want a brilliant turnaround businessman to try and save it. Per the topic, I think Dem/independent women overwhelming would not vote for Newt given the choice. They vote with emotion, ignore IQ and facts. They vote for the guy they like more - and the bottom 50% parasites vote for the candidate who appears would give them more free stuff.
