On Saturday Mitt Romney gave 50 bucks to an unemployed Ruth Williams, 55, of Colombia, who started volunteering in his campaign offices. NBC News analysts thought the entire episode embodied racial stereotypes... and ripped Mitt Romney for helping out the poor.

she was probably a plant by the DNC
I’d be so much happier if Mitt were unemployed instead of that lady.
The inverse image of Herman Cain!
Tacky. Romney should’ve done that in private, not made it into a public spectacle.
Also, calling her a ‘mascot’? Jeez.
“Id be so much happier if Mitt were unemployed instead of that lady.”
Indeed, we all would.
The Establishment thinks that someone with these political instincts will defeat Obama?
It’s only OK if the pol is giving away someone else’s money.
Blacks have been the mascots of the democRats & leftists for 50 years.
BTW, “mascot” really means “pet”.
Technically he is unemployed, we need to keep him that way.
Staged event. Whether this woman was an ACORN plant, or a Willard operative, is anybody’s guess.
Idiot liberals are SO damn predicable
you guys need to get a clue-Rush just talked about this. She’s an unpaid volunteer for Romney’s campaign. He recognized her at the rally and gave her a few bucks because she and her kids are living on what her daughter makes. The governor also paid her light bill.Remember that woman in Florida who told Obama she needed a bigger house and a better car?She was a real estate investor and wasn’t poor-just greedy.i see no correlation between Obama spending your money and Romney giving this lady some of his.
LOL love that image.
I guess these MSNBC DNC stooges like it better when the govt’ steals taxpayers dollars and hand it out to the poor.
It was nice of Mitt to do that, but maybe he should have just handed her a card with a number to get back to him privately, and it would be up to her to tell anyone whether he helped out. There’s a reason the bible cautions against charity that shows in public. There is the risk of doing it for the wrong reason (pride) and the appearance can demean the recipient by class if not individually.
Still, why such a big hubbub over Mitt, when Obama did something similar a few years ago?
There is no correlation. Some people just want to express their hatred toward Mitt Romney at every opportunity, even if they have to devise complicated conspiracy theories or make things up.
Cain didn’t beg from politicians in public did he?
