A federal judge is preventing Virginia from printing ballots until he issues a ruling on Texas Gov. Rick Perry's ballot challenge.
U.S. District Judge John A. Gibney Jr. has ordered the Virginia State Board of Elections to send directives to each of the state's local boards, telling them not to print any absentee ballots until after the emergency motion is heard on Friday.
Virginia's primary is on March 6th. In order to get absentee ballots mailed overseas in time, Virginia needed to start printing ballots this weekend, and mailing them out by Jan 21.

Rick Perry Scares the Media & Democrats to Death GOP consultant Mark McKinnon says that the editor of a major newspaper told him, "We plan to declare war on Rick Perry and do all in our power to crush him."
Mr. McKinnon was outraged. "No pretense of integrity, professionalism or of unbiased news gathering," he wrote in Investors' Business Daily.
But I doubt he was surprised. This is what the "mainstream" media did to Sarah Palin in 2008, and what likely is in store for anyone Republicans nominate.
But liberals will go after the Texas governor with special venom because he is anti- intellectual, prays in public, takes the Constitution seriously and sometimes carries a handgun, Walter Shapiro wrote in The New Republic.
"It's almost as if Perry's political persona was constructed by bundling together all the fears and phantoms in the left-wing anxiety closet." he said.

Perhaps Perry is good for something after all.

See, you’re warming up to President Perry 2012! :)
Gov. Perry knows how to get the job done.
Hopefully, the court will decide in his favor.

We kenw they were afraid of him since they totally ignored him from the start. They just pretend he’s not even in the race and they have done some major damage, but Perry isn’t going to quit.

As you know CW I ain't exactly Perry's biggest fan but I don't want his Virginia fans to be unable to vote for him.
The RINO establishment was able to do the old bait and switch so that all Virginian delegates would go to either the Twitt or the Nut. Perry has right on his side here and the judge should call for a little common justice.
OK, playing fast and loose with their primary is the VA GOP's prerogative, but forcing the Virginia Republicans to either vote for the two absolute worse GOP candidates in the race or stay home is damned despicable.
As I said, I want even Rick Perry's Virginia fans to be able to vote for him—both of them;)

Good news! Perry is a leader who doesn’t give up easily. I’ve always know that about him. Doesn’t take no for an answer when it matters!

Absentee ballots is where the most vote fraud happens.
Interesting to see what sort of a monkeywrench this throws into the mix.
