I found this watering can over the weekend, I think it had a special use because of its shape and tiny pour spout. https://plus.google.com/photos/104740570180750966610/albums/5695710428831171889

Only on experimental models. You really didn’t see them until the Gizmonic zonerator was introduced which made the flux capacitor more economical to manufacture.

If you rub it gently, you will get three wishes. Use them wisely.

Thanks, I’m always getting the Gizmonic Zonerator confused with the Optogon Scalometer, and which one incorporated the Flux Capacitor. I guess it’s an age thing...

I believe it’s a rare 1923 copper clad coffee percolator made by the Dunce Bros. of Stupidville, Maine. They only made a dozen or so before they forgot how to make them, only to realize too late that they had overlooked making design model drawings before they began production.

I thought it was the 57's that had the problem, not the 58's. Oh well....my mistake.

That's an internet rumor spread by unscrupulous contractors, looking for work. If you research the CPSC logs, you will see, that although the 1957 Simmons gazorniflaptor was delisted by UL due to insufficient testing, the CPSC never issued a recall, and the actual reported incidence of fatal accidents was relatively low, approximately three fatalities were attributed to it, which was considered an acceptable risk. It you replace it with a current model, the likelihood of a Chinese counterfeit is probably greater than the risk from using a vintage model.

It’s an IED, a 155mm shell disguised as a pitcher for Jihadi Lemonade Stands.

It doesn’t matter what it is. Just take it on that antique roadshow TV show and they make something up proving its a priceless antique.

“The cone shaped top indicates it was made in the mid-1700’s in New England. These scratches on the bottom indicate it was made by Paul Revere. These dents on the spout are actually wooden tooth impressions. Yep, it’s a revolutionary tea kettle made by Paul Revere and belonging to George Washington.”

In other words, it’s a device to catch your fall if you happen to be hanging curtains naked and fall backwards.
