The Midterms: Lessons Learned and the Way Forward (a political blueprint to defeat Obama in 2012)
national review online ^ | November 4, 2010 | Sarah Palin

Now that the dust has settled on the 2010 midterm elections, it's slowly becoming clear just how monumental the results really are. We saw an extreme left-wing agenda suffer a crushing defeat. At the ballot box, voters took Obamacare and the stimulus and wrapped them right around the necks of those same House members and senators who had arrogantly dismissed the concerns voiced in countless town halls and Tea Party rallies up and down the country. Voters sent commonsense conservatives a clear mandate to hold the line against the Obama agenda?

Does that mean Republican candidates can look forward with greater confidence to the 2012 elections? Yes and no. Yes, objectively speaking the next electoral cycle should be even more favorable than the one that just ended. A large number of red-state Democratic senators will have to defend their seats, and since Obama will be at the top of the ballot next year, they won't be able to hide from the fact that their party leader is a detached liberal with a destructive tax-and-spend agenda. Whether Republicans will do as well as they did in this election cycle depends on whether they learn the lessons from the 2010 election.

The first lesson is simple: Set the narrative...

The GOP ran the table in Michigan in 2010. Governor, Secretary of state (The real gem of that election), attorney general, two supreme court judges, both houses of the legislature, and two US representatives.

I don’t believe the democrats picked up a single seat above the county level.

This time around, Stabenow’s seat is up for grabs and the two strongest GOP Candidates will be Pete Hoekstra and Clark Durant.

“Another important lesson is that we will need the mother of all GOTV efforts if we wish to win in 2012.”

That’s our job folks.

Exactly, we have to win every swing state. At the very least we want to win, but better to send Obama packing with a landslide.

I live in America’s East Berlin, Illinois. Sarah’s spot on when she says, “Fight back the lies immediately and consistently.” They just expect you to fold, but bury them in facts and then do it again. We’ve got to be relentless.

Axelrod has already shown his narrative: OWS & the 99%ers. That’s it. They’ve looked in their bag of tricks and out popped the Dems SOP: class warfare. Turn it back on them by simply pointing out the low number of financial prosections and the high amount of money flowing from Wallstreet to Obama.

Meanwhile the king of all “Keep In The Voters” lurches towards Massachusetts to be crowned.

"but better to send Obama packing with a landslide"

You are dreaming, or smoking some real strong weed, if you think that Obama will lose against any of the Republicans in a "landslide".

I have the dubious blessing of living in California. There is NO WAY that ANY Republican (however left or right) wins California. If Romney is the nominee I refuse to vote for him just so in someone's fantasy world it might somehow lead to Romney getting a "mandate".

The only one getting a "mandate" after the next election is Obama, if he loses, and he can go back to man-dating his true (reggie) love.

The Candidate better get into the Details of Obamacare,Comparative effectiveness research Panel, Independent Payment advisory Board, Ezekiel Emmauel,John Holdren. These groups and the People running them are in the Process of writing what most people think is what they are going to get under Obamacare, but actually their Charge is to Write the rules for What youre NOT GOING TO GET,thats Right DEATH PANELS.
There is Not one Outlet anywhere including TALK RADIO that is Informing the American Public as to what these people have been doing since they were formed under the stimulus package with over a Billion dollars of taxpayer money, thats right even BEFORE obamacare was Passed.
You owe it to your families and Grandchildren to Google those Groups and Individuals to educate yourself and pass the horror on to stop this.
