Bottom line: God fearing, military supporting, American exceptionalism pushing, jobs creating, regulations hating, gun toting, states rights, fly-over country, provincial [lacking urban sophistication or broad-mindedness], consistent conservative -- Gov. Rick Perry -- is not welcome in D.C.

Typical Washington Post. Alexandra Petri’s piece typifies the high-school level liberal “editorial” given play in the media nationwide, dripping with familiar distain for the intellectually inferior, small-minded American, seething with haughty, self-righteous rage, devoid of meaningful content or insight.

Ok, that’s it. If nothing else, I’ll vote for Gov. Perry just to piss these people off.

OK, Rick Perry gets the yeehaw award hands down (or is it eagle claws down?)

But Santorum is much more of a mensch.

Just a shame that in every debate he’s involved in, he manages to give the impression he’s as thick as a whale omelet.

This may not of course be the case, but this is politics, and the perception you give to the non-political-junkies of America (the vast majority of the electorate) who will only ever see or hear the soundbites, is kinda crucial.

ABC news is busy trying to down play Perry already this AM.

They are crowing that he only has 7% of the polls in NH, a state that he is NOT even campaigning in LOL

I was undecided for a long time, but I’m solidly in the Perry camp now. Watching that rally yesterday moved me to tears. This is clearly a true man of God who loves his family, loves our country, and has the right plan and proven track record for addressing our nation’s problems. If the GOP settles on a RINO flip-flopping wimp like Romney over Perry, then we deserve what we’re gonna get.

The last time a “moderate” won the presidency on the GOP side was Richard Nixon in 72, and that was mainly cause McGovern was so far left.I know George HW was a moderate too, but he ran as a Reagan conservative when he won in 88. It’s proven election after election that the RINO/moderate wimp always loses, yet the morons running the GOP keep shoveling us these crap candidates every election cycle, expecting us to forget all their past failures.

Bottom line-Romney winning the nomination virtually guarantees us 4 more years of Obozo, cause like McCain he wont fight, and there will be zero passion from the GOP base to fight for him. Obama will tear him to shreds just by running commercials of Romney debating himself with his numerous positions over the years-all on video. And who of us would really want to defend that? With my Dem friends already, I have to admit that “yeah you’re right, Romney’s a flip-flopper.” There’s really nothing I could say to defend the guy from that charge even if I had the inclination to do so (which of course I don’t).

I don’t care what the polls say at this point. I think this race is still very fluid and I’m sticking with Perry as long as he’s in it-and I think he’s in it for the long haul. I’m praying and fasting today for a Perry upset in IA, but even if it’s top 3 or 4, I think that should be enough to carry him forward.

BTW-thanks Cincinatus’ Wife for being such a strong advocate for Perry all these months. I’ve been reading your posts and I have to admire how you’ve stuck by him even during his very dark days. After learning more and more about the true character of this man, I now see why he inspires such loyalty from the people who know him. Our country would be blessed to have him as POTUS.

Not welcome in DC is right, CW.

Nail, meet hammer.

This article is meant to make Perry look bad, when in fact, everything in it is the reason we support him and he’s the real deal in this race. And he is what DC desperately requires...not what it wants...so that America can stay the land of the free, the home of the brave.

This morning I see that Rupert Murdoch tells Iowans to support Santorum.

Care to weigh in on THAT one?

Do I detect a note of mockery in what Miss Petri is dishing?

I wonder what she thought of those Roman columns that Obama spoke before at that campaign rally in Denver during the '08 campaign.

I suppose I could do a web search and find out. But that just seems like so much work.

Thank you for the post. I’m almost speechless. Almost. I wondered why Cain seems to attempting to reinvigorate his wrecking-ball service. He’s baaack. Governor Perry’s message is exactly what our country needs. He’s distinguished. He can do it. He’s the anti-Obama...which in case people forgot, is what we need. I don’t care about letting Romney have his turn. I don’t care about helping Newt develop a new image. I don’t care about giving the novice, Santorum, a chance to prove himself. I really don’t care about Bachman. And now there is Cain who will be coddled by his fellow talk show hosts, trying to be relevant again. He is the anti-Perry.
I’m hopeful Americans will listen to Governor Perry’s positive message.

PERRYMENTUM IN IOWA !! To hear other campaigns “claim” to have large crowds, from all evidence their “crowds” are largely the media. And some media have abandoned certain candidates for lack of interest by Iowans. The dignity, integrity and manners of Rick Perry has and is catching fire in Iowa. And the blaze will only get hotter as he moves from caucus to primary across the country. Move over, Mitt !! A TRUE CONSERVATIVE AND MAN OF INTEGRITY HAS ARRIVED. PERRY 2012

She was obviously trying to be a little snarky but just as obviously impressed with the enthusiasm for Rick Perry.

Pretty sad comparison between his rally and that of the Other Rick.
