On what basis does anyone deem Mittens “most electable and able to defeat BHO” - his looks? This guy hasn’t been challenged thus far - he’s been given a pass. Let me say he hasn’t magically “grown a set’ since ‘08 - he just hasn’t been subjected to the heat yet (thanks to the strategic MSM and adoring GOP elite.) But that heat will burn white-hot from BHO and the Left should we be stupid enough to be fooled into handing him the nomination. Between Romneycare, debate, his bizarre religion and other unforeseen things, he’ll get that deer in the headlights look and BHO will mop the floor with him. Just like McCain in ‘08.

Debate, especially, will influence undecided voters next year, and Mittens can’t cut it. We’ve got to have someone who’s not afraid to take the gloves off, dog BHO wherever he goes and kick his skinny butt in debate.

Once again, the ruling class has arranged to present a non-alternative. Under Romney, America will head toward the cliff just a little less rapidly than under Obama. Romney will be as big a disaster for conservatism than Bush.

It’s getting to be time the whole system will need to be rebooted, the hard drive scrubbed and a brand new OS installed. A third party won’t fix things. That just makes sure the most malevolent of the available viruses stays in control of the computer.

That the “conservative” party can nominate Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain and Romney in succession means electoral politics no longer functions—one entire and very large bloc of the electorate is not represented. I really don’t think there’s any peaceful way to get there from here. I’m too old to go there and the current youngsters, who ought to be complaining in the strongest terms about congressmen and lobbyists and presidents who have gotten them into this mess, believe mostly in unicorns, global warming and iPads and appear to have entirely bought into the conventional wisdom that government will solve their problems—they just need more power to do good.

Mitt would not recognize Obama as a socialist. Why not? Well, if Obama and ObamaCare is socialist, then Mitt is socialist. And this is a recipe for success in defeating Obama electorally and intellectually. Really? I'm not sold.

Reagan did this by bringing Americans over into mainstream conservativism. Romney proposes to do this by being a squish who appeals to everyone, where they are now. He persuades no one. He hasn't persuaded the author of this piece.

I would prefer this, Romney's one term as Governor, who did not run for a second term due to a 34% approval rating aren't going to set the world on fire. Why is Romney considered experienced to be President? He himself cites his business experience. What has he really run? Cain had more direct hands-on business experience, than Romney at Bain Capital.

There seem to be more myths about Mitt, than anyone else out there.
