Is Drudge in the tank for Willard Romney?

It’s sad to say, but yes he is.

In the past few days we have seen the once reliable Matt Drudge make an all-out no pretenses dive into Willard Romney’s tank.

The man who once typified the anti-establishment drive for balanced reporting has abandoned us. He has stooped to quoting The Politico’s “considered” opinion that Willard will win the Republican nod in Iowa as if this was next Wednesday morning.

Drudge apparently thinks we don’t know The Politico is the extremely pro Democrat site that savaged Herman Cain and pushed him out of the race with an avalanche of empty stories. He thinks we don’t know The Politico would never print such stories about a Democrat. Drudge is banking on us forgetting his new BFFs at The Politico refused to run any stories about John Edwards’s love child until she was in pre-school.

He has ignored the latest “Insider Advantage” poll of likely Republican Iowa caucus voters that shows a sharp tightening among all candidates and actually reveals a three way tie at 17 – with Gingrich Paul and Willard on top. Now Drudge is giddily reporting a story from E.J. Dionne a longtime enemy of America’s conservatives- that Intrade is 75% sure Willard will win the Republican nomination, not just Iowa!

What the soaking wet Mr. Drudge is not reporting is that the same geniuses at Intrade are saying Obama will win re-election. Both of these “predictions” can easily be brushed aside, but of course that reality is being sacrificed for his agenda.

It seems to me that Drudge has just been headlining the Republican of the Week, which is constantly changing. It’s unfortunate that Romney is cresting right before the Ohio vote, but that’s not Drudge’s fault.

Over the course of the debates, he’s given plenty of time to other candidates while they were ahead in the polls.

I believe he is. I visit his site on a daily basis and he rarely fails to have an anti-Newt article up on his website. Plenty of pro-Mitt articles up though over the weeks. I hate to see it but it is what it is. Drudge favors the establishments choice.

I don't think he supports Romney. If his anti-obama pictures and articles are any indication, I don't think he likes obama at all. He's probably on the ABO bandwagon like Coulter. I can't go after Drudge too much. If it weren't for him, nothing negative would ever get out about obama.

Oooh, they were nasty! Death threats, really. I had a couple of sources on the story. I talked to somebody who had dated him. David somebody. I quote him in my book. Nice guy. He was telling me all about Drudge's sexual habits. According to him, some of it was pretty kinky, and some of it involved eggs.

When the book came out, Drudge put the revelation on his main page ... with a siren. It was then that I knew that 1) This guy is seriously weird and 2) No one can blackmail him, he'll just use it to generate traffic. "Ova" is the Latin word for eggs. Its where we get the word "ovaries" from. One might say, right general idea, wrong species, place and condition.
