Probably being politically correct will only remain in use by the now aging Baby Boomers clinging to the remnants of their Flower Child experiences of the 1960's and 1970's and those on the far left.

My goal is to live long enough to see 60/70s PC hippy leftism become a cartoon parody of itself, and its practitioners reduced to sputtering, spittle flecked quaking-with-rage octogenarians.

You're dreaming, ma'am. Politically correct language has the sole purpose of controlling the dialogue and by proxy the thought processes of the people. It may be that in rare occasions liberals will suffer a setback when they push people too far too fast, but never believe that we are going to see an end to the imposition by the left of restrictions on what we say in public.

There will always be occasions of pushback, but liberals have shown that they are patient and unceasing in their desire for a secular, socialist, government ruled society in which they control the dialogue and the actions of every citizen.

The year 1984 may have passed, but the left's dream of imposing a version of that society is as powerful as ever.

I would love to think PC is fading away, but they're forcing it in the schools. Personally, I'm done with PC language because it's GAY!

As long as eschewing political correctness has the potential of getting one sued, or worse, prosecuted, it will continue to hang around our necks like a dead albatross. It will take politicians and academicians with the guts to reverse such p.c. abominations such as affirmative action and campus speech codes before we could ever see a real rollback of political correctness.

I wonder if you are right! I’m a baby boomer and I notice that almost all of that crap comes from my fellow boomers - with the horrible exception of their “highly-educated” grandchildren. Unfortunately, I’ll probably be gone before pc goes totally under.

Merry Christmas!

I have heard a lot more of “Merry Christmas” this year than in past years.

And I have yet to hear anyone say anything about Kwanzaa. Usually the MSM pushes Kwanzaa. The first day of Kwanzaa was yesterday, but no mention on the news about it.

I must interject a thought here. I don’t see all the brouhaha about “Happy Holidays” and “Seasons’ Greetings” being PC. We used them all the time when I was growning up in the 40s and 50s. The juxtapostition of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years made the phrases sort of a conventinet shorthand. Of course, others motives for their use may vary.

Political Correctness is ingrained in the children in government/public schools. “No Tolerance” is intolerance.

It’s all part of the Gramsci-Alinsky Tactics to control the hearts and minds of people.

Notes on Saul Alinsky and Neo-Marxism:

Alinsky’s tactics were based, not on Stalin’s revolutionary violence, but on the Neo-Marxist strategies of Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Communist. Relying on gradualism, infiltration and the dialectic process rather than a bloody revolution, Gramsci’s transformational Marxism was so subtle that few even noticed the deliberate changes.

Like Alinsky, Mikhail Gorbachev followed Gramsci, not Lenin. In fact, Gramsci aroused Stalins’s wrath by suggesting that Lenin’s revolutionary plan wouldn’t work in the West. Instead the primary assault would be on Biblical absolutes and Christian values, which must be crushed as a social force before the new face of Communism could rise and flourish. Malachi Martin gave us a progress report:

“By 1985, the influence of traditional Christian philosophy in the West was weak and negligible.... Gramsci’s master strategy was now feasible. Humanly speaking, it was no longer too tall an order to strip large majorities of men and women in the West of those last vestiges that remained to them of Christianity’s transcendent God.”

I’m against all forms of politically-correct speech, and am therefore I am empowering people to be diverse and inclusive when attempting to achieve social justice and speak truth to power.

As an aging BB I can tell you we weren’t the ones who started this crap. It was forced down our throat by government mandated diversity training, pushed by the Leftist media, swallowed whole by the the college educated fairer sex and Madison Avenue types who ran with it as a sales tool. I have never been afflicted with this disease, and most of the men my age weren’t either.

I have noticed the over use of the word “issue”. It is politically incorrect to say problem.

As a very young man (boy, actually) in the 1960s, I held a heavy commercial door open for my mom, and of course for the woman who was behind her. The woman walks into the opening as she sneers “chauvinist!” at me. I let the door swing.

My very proper mother couldn’t help but smile.
