When will the Republican Party figure out a lot of what this guy says resonates with the average Joe? Why don't they co-opt his most valuable messages and ignore the ones they don't support? Is supporting the stupid ass Drug War, like the War on Poverty, an issue today's Republican's think is a winning issue? Gimme a break! If they hate the Foreign Policy thing, ok fine. Adopt the good stuff and roll with it!

When I refer to the Republican Party and I say "they" I mean the decision makers who thought Dede Scozafava and Charlie Crist were better than Doug Hoffman and Marco Rubio.

FYI: no fan of Infowars, whose name is seen early on a chyron. Jesse Ventura is a dude I'd have a beer with though.

Speaking of beer: ZZ and a little Tush

The WOD is one big farce...Right up there with no-commercial cable TV. Remember when they tried to push that sh*t down everyone's throats? 30 years later, they got all the suckers to pay them to watch their sleazy commercials, after they've already been paid for.

Lots of people in government getting fat and paid well due to the WOD. It's an ugly farce. It does nothing but grow the size of government.

Blacks are 56% of inmates convicted for drug violations

I'm reminded of the theme song of "Barretta": "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time..."

Go to the courthouse.
90% of everthing on the docket is about drugs.
90% of the perps are funded by my tax dollars in their businesses.
Their is no space on the docket to even think about stopping other crime.
I always think maybe I hear a Leit motif.

I see Paul is continuing to blatantly pander to the race-obsessed left. The appropriateness of a law doesn’t depend on the skin tone of the chief lawbreakers. And besides, decriminalize all drugs (as I would happily do) and blacks would still be a majority of the prison population - that won’t change.

Since more people die from prescription drugs now than die from "illegal drugs", I suspect the Federal Gubernmint will soon be adding those to the list - for the "War On Drugs"(that they decide are bad).

Yup! Any minute now...Cuz drugs 'r' bad, Mmm kay?!

Jesse is one of the most obnoxious ego maniacs around. He is stupid...and thinks he is sooo smart.

You know what - I don’t give a rip about the percentages. If they are doing the crimes, convict them. Justice is blind. No-one gets a pass to balance percentages to some artificial equality that makes some liberal feel good.

Absolutely - a bunch of Ronulans over here just in case you are awake. Apparently RPaul thinks drug laws are racist.

While Newt & Romney both have outreach organizations to Hispanic voters-- Ron Paul isn't playing that game. When in one of the debates, Jose Diaz Ballart asked Ron Paul what his message was to Hispanic voters, Ron Paul's reply was, "The same as my message to everyone else."

This wonderful Black man, TMOT definitely gets Ron Paul's point.

So who are the Leftist Progressives -- the ones kissing minority butt for votes & promising them "something extra" as TMOT suggests, or the ones treating them like everyone else as simply Americans?

The War on Drugs has caused more challenges to the Constitution than any other source. Freepers, it is being used to destroy the 2nd Amendment as well, as evidenced by the Fast and Furious debacle.

We as a nation have spent tens of billions on this War on the People and have nothing to show for it except a dismal rate of approval for all levels of government. Tens of thousands have died from its violence and there is NO END IN SIGHT. It is set to surpass the Cold War in length soon.

It may be distasteful but legalization and free distribution at clinics to adults is probably the only way to control this beast. Yes, drug addiction is ugly. But so are police raids where dogs, kids, vets, and old people are getting killed. So is the mood of this nation, who are convinced that gov is trampling all over the citizens rights.

If the gov legalizes it, they MUST control the market or nothing changes. Distribute it for free and people have a much less impetus to commit crimes to get money for their addiction. The cartels don’t need to slaughter tens of thousands of Mexicans over it. Drug gangs disappear. The militiarization of the police recedes. Individual rights reaffirmed. Quality of life for those who don’t abuse goes up. Some illegals who came her to flee the insanity go back home.

Can you live with this? The tradeoff is there will still be addiction and yes, it will be ugly and there will be overdose deaths involved. But those are choices made by adults. I don’t think it’s too much to demand from the gov that we be treated as adults.
