Last night on Neil Cavuto's show on Fox News Channel, NLPC Associate Fellow Mark Modica discussed disappointing sales of the Chevy Volt, and GM's apparent goosing of sales figures through fleet sales.

In a month or so at the NAIAS, the 2013 Fusion is supposed to have it's debut.
What we know from the web.
* It will use the very good handling "Ford Mondeo" Chassis ( possibly new or upgraded )
* It will be 4 or 5 star crash Mulally will demand it.
* It will get 10 to 20% better fuel economy, (again Mulally demands ) the green car blogs are rumoring 48 mpg in the city for the Hybrid.
* It will have a good looking skin ergo the "EVOS" Show-car
Here is the EVOS of which it will get it's DNA
IMHO this Fusion will make the Volt about as appealing as Rosanne Barr...
‘Fleet sales’... to gov’t agencies.
=More taxpayer bailouts
Haven’t seen any in the SE. Will be travelling through NE this Christmas/New Year season. I’ll keep my eye out.
So, you reckon it was your prototypical brain dead, arrogant, greenie, Marxist driving?
New York, Orange County area.
Could have been your typical brain dead “Daddy bought me the car and, like, you know, like *bubblegum pop* yeah, you know..” type.
Kinda scary either way.
I've little doubt you're right. LOL!
A little holiday music for you.....test.....test.....
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost’s Volt is burning up.
Thank-you.....thank-you.....remember to tip your waitress.
SE Michigan has long been a bastion of non-reality when it comes to what the market in the wider country is actually buying and driving. I visit relatives up there frequently around the holidays, and it has been noticeably like that for decades. I believe this is part of the reason for the decline of the American auto industry. All the execs and engineers live in the same suburbs, shop in the same malls, kids go to the same schools, and everyone is driving American iron, and things looks OK. Meanwhile in Atlanta, Houston, L.A., etc., it’s a whole ‘nother story, and the Japanese and Germans are all over the place.
