I will not be endorsing any time soon.....
I am, however, continually surprised that anyone in the GOP thinks Mitt Romney is a really viable candidate. Should he be the nominee, the American public will be treated to interviews and commercials with every person ever fired or laid off because of Bain Capital, an organization from which MItt Romney still draws money.
The Romney camp response is, in effect, “Sure, but look at all the people laid off because of Barack Obama.”
Okay. Sure. In other words, in a race about job creation, we’ll have a fight over who caused the fewest people to lose their jobs.
That’s a real winner of an argument to have.
Meanwhile, yesterday, a number of bloggers across the conservative side of the internet rolled out endorsements for Rick Perry, including a number of front page writers here. While I realize Perry’s initial debate performances were weak and, should Perry make it out of Iowa he must absolutely and decisively remove Ray Sullivan from being in charge of communications, left people yearning for what might have been, the man is the three term government of the second largest state in the nation under whose administration close to 50% of all jobs in the nation were created in the past decade, and who has never lost an election.
And there is also the fact that Rick Perry is both a farmer and a veteran. In fact, Perry is the only veteran running for President who has a shot at actually winning. Republicans used to value military service in a candidate and they still should.
I think Rick Perry has a vastly better shot against Barack Obama than Mitt Romney. Of all the candidates running, I think he has one of the best shots, though....

Rick Perry will absolutely bomb in the debates and it WILL matter.
Part-time congress? PLEEZE. Yeah, I’d like it but it is going nowhere.
Seeing as how Perry’s debate performances have trended up, I don’t see how you arrive at that conclusion.
Besides, I’d rather Perry be able to stand on the stage with his record of achievement, than someone who needs to talk in circles to hide theirs.
Check the Real Clear Politics national average. Look like Newt has faded 5 points and Paul has advanced 5 points while Perry, Bachmann, and Santorum remain unchanged. Looks like Paul is picking up the Newt voters. Romney and the others moved only one point over the last two weeks. It appears that Paul’s high-action negative ads against Gingrich are taking their toll. LMAO... Looks like it’s Paul or Romney.

This is what Perry is trying to get at. It's our Congress. It's our court system, it's our Presidency.
Perry is offering a bold move to take the power back to the states and the individual. Will we seize the moment or look for more of the same?
Newt and Mitt think solutions come from DC. Perry knows they don't.
By the way I noticed that Tea Party candidates Nikki Haley and Christine O'Donnell endorsed Romney. Do you think Bachmann would too should she drop out?
The reason I ask is because it is becoming clearer the Tea Party has been co-opted.
Perry wont bomb in the debates and he has a head to head record against Obama.
I read on RCP that Mitt is prepared for a long drawn out battle. That battle is not with Newt, who has no money or organization. That battle is with Perry who has money and organization in all 50 states.
Paul loses once you get out of Caucus states. If you check state polls Paul doesn't do that well.
Paul wont even win Iowa.

I read an interesting article on Bachmann and Perry in Iowa and their battle for the Conservative vote. It also points to Newt as having not only a weak ground game in Iowa but little money and his bus tour wont start until after Christmas.
By then it could be over for him. If you look at the Iowa polls it looks like Newt and Perry are cris crossing.
I saw a graphic with that.

He hasn’t been bombing lately. And when he faces Obama in the debates, Obama won’t be able to use his beloved teleprompter.
