Why Limbaugh, Levin, Sweizer, Beck, Morris and Schlussel support Michele Bachmann

A large number of big name conservatives recently came out in support of Michele Bachmann.

Steve Williams at examiner.com did a nice job of piecing together quotes as to why these people want Michele as President of the United States.

Rush Limbaugh - "She's not seeking fundamental transformation of our country. She seeks to uphold the country and the Constitution."

Glenn Beck - "There is somebody I think that is exceptional and truly comes the closest to embodying the spirit of Lincoln or Washington in this field. And I believe that it is Michele Bachmann."

Mark Levin – “If I had to vote right now, I’d vote for Bachmann or Santorum” [having listened to Mark for a long time, I’m confident that if he really had to, he’d choose Bachmann]. Several times in the past month or two.

Peter Schweizer (discussing Congressional insider trading) – “There are some Congresspeople who out of principle do not trade stock. Michelle Bachmann does not trade stock, for example.”

Pamela Geller - As the fog continues to clear, Bachmann stands head and shoulders above her competition. I like how she thinks. And I staunchly support the majority of her positions. She'd be a great president. I want her to win.

I know I’m in a minority here, among Newt trolls, but here is my reason.

I support Bachmann because she is a conservative with right policy positions. Now call that crazy.

Romney and Newt are liberal leaning progressives in a number of policy issues (amnesty, global warming, cap-and-trade, ethanol subsidies). People may change, but Newt has been getting more liberal over the years. His judgement is poor.

Perry is better, but his fanatical positions on illegal immigration and insults to conservatives who don’t share his view is a show-stopper.

I hope Santorum drops out and conservatives can consolidate their support for Bachmann.

Nice try.

Rush doesn’t endorse “one” candidate.

Beck is a full-blown kook as is Schlussel who’s banned from here.

Michele Bachmann is a bedrock conservative, but this type of misleading stuff isn’t really going to help her.

Bachmann is the Hell Cat we need. She is fearless, strong, unwavering, strident, vibrant, lively, etc.

MB is awesome.

and most importantly - I trust her!

Can any Newtbots or Romneybots say they trust Newt or Myth? Seriously?

Santorum, Bachmann, Paul are my top three at this point.

You are also a liar.

I listen to Rush Limbaugh each and every day. At no time has he endorsed Michele Bachmann or anyone else.

He has repeatedly stated he will not endorse any candidate for the primaries.

Thanks.

I’ve also heard a number of very favorable comments for Bachmann from El Rushbo, Beck, and Levin.

So, Newt Gingrich supporters are trolls?

That might be of interest to the owner of this site.

Sure; in the Primary, if she survives after being a non-player on the scorecards in Iowa, New Hampshire, and S. Carolina, I’d vote for Bachmann (but when I get to vote in the Primary in May, I doubt my choices will be more than between Gingrich and Romney-the-RINO, and probably the Ralien, aka, Ron Paul).

Not many here like Michelle, but she’s still my pick too. I noticed the other day the WSJ had a graph of donations to all of the Republican candidates. Ron Paul of course led in small donors, but I think Michelle was right behind him. Those are probably old donations, because I think she has trailed off. Still, that shows that at one point, she had considerable grass roots support. Of course Romney and Perry had the most max $2500 donors. The money goes where it’s most likely to get a winner with less concern about nuances like whether government expands interminably.

I support Michelle Bachmann, too, but that doesn’t mean I would throw Newt under the bus and I support Newt over Romney. Or if Newt seems to be ascendant, I’ll go with him.

I thought I was going to sit out the primary, for all the reasons you mentioned about the “front runners”.

The guy I was going to vote for was knocked out of the race by scandal, contrived or otherwise.

But now, I’m going to give Bachman a second look.

I don’t think any white guy stands a chance against 0babma0, no matter how bad the economy is. The left and the “independents” still believe it’s all Bush’s fault, and to some extent, they are correct.

Michelle ....

Maybe she’s got a shot, though the press has had some success at projecting her as incompetent, insane, and ignorant.

He told Greta that last night. I concur, (if the election were held today).

Ron Paul could never win, on any day, IMO.

Did you take or see this quiz. I did and my winners were Bachmann, Paul, and Santorum. I would say that Newt was on my radar screen, as was Bachmann and Paul. Santorum never even entered my mind. I would have thought I preferred Paul over Bachmann.

Every person on my desk took it and none of them came up with Romney

[having listened to Mark for a long time, I’m confident that if he really had to, he’d choose Bachmann]

So in addition to claiming false endorsements by Rush Limbaugh, you claim to know that Mark Levin really meant he was for Bachmann when he said Bachmann or Santorum.

You're simply amazing.

I know you ain't been listening to Rush, he does not support any particular Republican or Conservative over the others at this time.

Otherwise, Bachman is a fine Conservative and a fine person, and I will vote for her in a heartbeat, but this sort of thrown together fact less trash isn't helpful.

“I support Bachmann because she is a conservative with right policy positions. Now call that crazy.”

I like her positions, but I have lost almost all respect for the person.

Through proxy, she smeared an ally who was not even a threat.

Her witticisms such as ‘999 is 666 upside down’, ‘Newt Romney’ etc. are inane, alienating and ineffective.

To give her the benefit of the doubt I think she can be defined as unreliable and ineffective, but I have to consider the possibilities that she is downright treacherous and incompetent.

Just having the right paper positions is not good enough. Apparently a whole lot of people have come to the same or similar conclusions.

I agree Bachman is the best choice of those in the race now, I find it very frustrating to think this race might come down to Gingrich or Romney, in which case Newt is the only real choice.

I think if Bachman could get some traction she could break out beyond anyone in the current field...although I still would like to Sarah change her mind, just wishful thinking I know she won’t.
