Hah, I WISH it were a “Jack Lord retread”. The only things similar with this version are the names of the characters and that it takes place in Hawaii.

This would have NEVER happened with the original Jack Lord-Leonard Freeman production.

I would think that if the events happened at the same time, the original production would have included these veterans in the program they would have been shooting.

The retread isn't as good as the original, but I still watch it.

Yawn....say us heterosexual males, unless they have, along with their handsome looks, a bit of grit, toughness and edge like Wayne, Mitchum, Eastwood and even Selleck.

Exactly, there was only one Jack Lord.

Tried watching the show once and that was enough.

“beyond words”

After the initial shock, I’m sure by now you and the rest of us have come up with a few appropriate words.

They waited until they were outed by the vet’s. If nobody said anything they’d just go on their merry way. I hate it when these liberal news media types say or do something that should have been thought about >before< they did whatever they did. It’s always “we’re sooooo sorry it happened” garbage.

Note to CBS’s affiliates: 2 thoughts....Actions speak louder than words. And excrement flows downhill.

these movie people do not give a rat's behind about anything but their deadlines.

I work at a location that is a favorite for making movies; TV shows; commercials etc. and in 28 years have encountered only one jerk. Usually cast and crew alike are very polite and try to be as unobtrusive as possible.

These guys in Hawaii however were just jerks.

More Jack Lord trivia at IMBD.com (See: Jack Lord bio)

Was considered for the part of Captain Kirk in "Star Trek" (1966), but was rejected by Gene Roddenberry and Desilu Studios because Lord wanted to also be co-producer, and own a percentage of the series.

An FBI file regarding a stalker lists his height as 6' 0", 2 inches shorter than his official biography. (ed.: Gee, what a surprise --not! Schwarzenntaxxer does the same thing.)

A dedicated liberal activist, he was a vocal advocate of gun control in the United States.

at the same time a memorial service for Pearl Harbor's World War II veterans was being held nearby.

The article doesn't explicitly say it but from that quote I'd have to assume this was on December 7th. In addition to excoriating the production crew, some attention needs to be paid to the nimrod who gave access permission for that holiest of days for that particular cemetery.

If so he didn't apply the same liberal stds to himself - if he had he would've returned that gold plated Walther PPK The King gave him in 1973.

Mama mia! read the article by Tubbs inside this one. Not only does he mention the SeeBS incident but also how Obama once again shirked his duty. And it would have given him an excuse to be in Hawaii.

Do they ever?

If so, I've never seen it.

Same with judges, cops, legislators, bureaucrats, etc.

They all think laws only apply to us peons who are mere taxpayers...

CBS only gives lip service to our military. They pretend to appreciate the sacrifice, but in reality, they don’t care one whit about solemn occasions. This one really takes the cake, though!!

Earlier this year, I watched the Air Force vs Army football game on CBS. At the end of the game, instead of staying for the (very solemn) alma maters at the end of the game, they broke to commercials. They couldn’t wait the extra 30 seconds to 1 minute it would have taken to show some respect. No the almighty dollar was calling their name. Luckily, they changed their tune for the Army vs Navy game recently. I bet that’s because there were more people watching that one.

Her smile is simply captivating... and Renee Smith (Nell)... there's something about her that's intriguing as well.

I’m surprised they didn’t beat them with baseball bats.
