I’m grateful they didn’t celebrate Pearl Harbor Day with graphics of streamers, confetti, and parades. That’s what I would expect from those commie libs.

They chose to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth over Abraham Lincoln's. They haven't honored George Washington either. Only US president ever included in a Google logo is John Kennedy.
To: OL Hickory
No because I have been using Bing instead. FWIW, results are usually about the same for either one.

It hardly matters to me. I remember Dec 7 as Pearl Harbor day. It’s a day of remembrance not a day of celebration.
I’ve manned the rail several times while entering Pearl Harbor and have stood on the memorial. They are both sad and contemplative moments.
I don’t need Google, Yahoo or Bing to remind me and I don’t care if they ever have special headlines for tragedies. We’d be seeing them 365 days a year.

I didn't notice because I do not use Google. It's the devil.
Check out what's on the Bing page.

My grandfather died back in 1994. He never said much about his service in the Pacific, and I doubt anyone was going to get anything out of him.
As I said, I was surprised there’s still that many vets. Guess it’s a combination of modern medicine and the sheer number of them (16 million Americans served in WWII).
Still, it’s kind of sad knowing I’ll live to see the last one go in about 20-25 years time.

Not a surprise. They NEVER acknowledge siginficant holidays.
Not 9/11.
Not Veteran’s Day.
Not ANY truly American holdiay.
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that.

No offense, but they probably would have done something offensive.
Sometimes it’s better if liberals do nothing.

Google never has anything to commemorate American holidays that are connected to, well, America. That you are saddened only means that you have only just noticed.
Bing had a photo of the Pearl Harbor Memorial on Oahu, HI. Stop "googling", go Bing.
To: OL Hickory
Really? Is that what the world has come to? Waiting for google to memorialize something on their landing page? Who cares what they do...

Did not even notice and I used Google about 10 times today. I certainly don’t get my Pearl Harbor insight from the Google homepage. I saw a lot of Pearl Harbor honors on Facebook and Free Republic. I only use Google to gain information on a particular subject I am looking up.

Dont let it get to you. They are not pro American. IMO That's obvious, why else would a billion dollar Marxist support the movement to Barackuppy the White House?

Too bad the red diaper doper baby generation never grew up. I wish adults were in charge again. And that goes for education, scientific endeavors, and media (news and entertainment), not just public office.

Google searches ain’t what they used to be. The algorithms suck now and you can’t view cached content (even when it appears in the summary of the match on a page).

Barack said WE dropped The Bomb on Pearl Harbor. He wouldn’t lie. Michelle said our history would have to change. Maybe this is what she meant.

Nope.
Google's original homepage was fine. No need to mess with it!
