While Everybody's Breaking Out Old Tapes of Gingrich...
Reaganite Republican ^ | December 05, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

Here's mine-

shredding a MSNBC reporter's loaded question re. Palin's qualifications on the floor of the
2008 Republican National Convention.

I'm  not endorsing ole Newt, yet -actually, I've trashed him over
the Scozzafava debacle, etc on this site- the guy's simply not my first choice.
But one thing we need for this battle is a FIGHTER...
and you do get that with this brilliant -yet flawed- candidate.

I could watch the lib media get smacked around the room like this every day...

@robertcostaNRO Reliable sources tell me that Cain will NOT hold a presser on Monday 2 endorse Gingrich or any candidate

Personally I find t difficult to dislike Newt. My only reservation is that we will be McCained again. I am also not happy with the fact that any outside the beltway candidates get destroyed with the entire media turning on them when start becoming threat.

I’m disappointed that Cain let them take him out of the game. They rattled their sabres and he quit. It is no mystery to me why Gingrich is coming up in the polls...he fights.

That’s what Lincoln said when they told him to get rid of (drunkard) US Grant in the wake of early Union defeats- “I can’t spare the man... HE FIGHTS”

When he’s ‘on’, he’s the best in dealing with MSM scum- he should give lessons

Indeed. But what is the good in a ‘fighter’ who, thanks to his baggage, will be bringing a knife to a gunfight.

I'm a disappointed donator as well. Cain fought, but he never assembled a team that was effective at countering the charges. He seemed surprised and off balance initially, which hurt him more than the accusations. I think people responded as much to his perceived ability to counter the charges and to the charges themselves.

I made Gingrich my back up to Cain after seeing his ability to fight and turn arguments around on his opponents - the leftist media. We need someone who can do that without breaking a sweat or making major mistatements.

Sadly, that was not Cain this round.

I was saying the same thing the other day: Newt is not been my my first choice either, but he is a fighter and this is political war. There’s simply no one who can articulate the hypocrisies of the left and the lies of the LSM better than Newt.

I'm not thrilled with Newt, but at his best he's great. I'm certain that Romney will always be wrong; with Newt, the stance he settles on for each issue will be a surprise.

Agree. We already know how nasty the other side plays. We’re going to need a fighter that cantake them on. Newt can shred 0bama in a debate...and on any subject. The contrast is stark. I’m sorry that its come down to this...but they’ve been playing that game for far too long. Not my first choice, either.

Not my first choice and hoping he doesn't become the only choice.

Reading my crystal ball I foresee Newt the fighter becoming Newt the capitulator.

Obama has no checked baggage and a one way ticket paid for with cash on the flight of presidential politics. And we all know what that indicates.

You think the media is going to dig into Obama’s baggage? They didn’t last time. Newt has stacks of the stuff. In fact, he needs Passepartout to follow him around on the campaign trail to carry the stuff.

His comment about wanting to get rid of the EPA and replace it with the “environmental Solutions Agency” tells me that he’s still the same old big government guy.
