Why are our ``conservative`` talk show hosts so gentle with Mr. Newt Gingrich?
12-2-11 | JOHN W K

Wouldn`t it be music to the ears of all freedom loving Americans to hear one of our so called ``conservative`` talk show hosts ask Mr. Gingrich some tough questions, e.g., why he sided with the progressive Jimmy Carter in creating the un-constitutional federal department of education? And likewise ask Mr. Gingrich if he was wrong in helping to create this vehicle for a subversive federal takeover of public school systems established under state Constitutions?

How about one of our ``conservative`` talk show hosts asking Mr. Gingrich, in reference to his vote to create the federal department of education, what part of Federalist No 45 did he not understand at the time of his vote which summarizes our federal government`s limited powers as follows:

``The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.

The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.``

And further, how nice it would be to hear one of our conservative talk show hosts asking Mr. Gingrich, what part of our Constitution`s Tenth Amendment which was adopted to give force and effect to Federalist No. 45, and specifically intended to preserve and protect federalism, our Constitution`s plan, did he not understand when voting to create the federal department of education? The Tenth Amendment reads as follows:

``The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to the people.``

And would it really be too much to expect one of our ``conservative`` talk show hosts, who constantly refer to Gingrich as a ``conservative``, to ask him why he also ignored the limited role of our federal government when helping to create the federal department of education as summarized by our very own Supreme Court less than twenty years after the adoption of the Tenth Amendment? The SC stated:

``The government of the United States is of the latter description. The powers of the legislature are defined and limited; and that those limits may not be mistaken or forgotten, the constitution is written. To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing; if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained? The distinction between a government with limited and unlimited powers is abolished, if those limits do not confine the persons on whom they are imposed, and if acts prohibited and acts allowed are of equal obligation. It is a proposition too plain to be contested, that the constitution controls any legislative act repugnant to it; or, that the legislature may alter the constitution by an ordinary act.

Between these alternatives there is no middle ground. The constitution is either a superior, paramount law, unchangeable by ordinary means, or it is on a level with ordinary legislative acts, and like other acts, is alterable when the legislature shall please to alter it.

If the former part of the alternative be true, then a legislative act contrary to the constitution is not law: if the latter part be true, then written constitutions are absurd attempts, on the part of the people, to limit a power in its own nature illimitable.

Certainly all those who have framed written constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and consequently the theory of every such government must be, that an act of the legislature repugnant to the constitution is void.`` ____ MARBURY v. MADISON, 5 U.S. 137 (1803)

And finally, for those who do not realized the creation of the federal department of education is the brainchild of subversive progressives, and its goal is to concentrate power in Washington in order to control public school systems established under state constitutions and then brainwash our nation`s children, take note of the warning given to us in 1983 by Sam Weaver in an article titled John Dewey: the father of progressive education

`` am convinced that the battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being...The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new — the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of 'love thy neighbor' will finally be achieved.``— excerpt from an article by John Dunphy titled ``A Religion for a New Age `` appearing in the January/February 1983 issue of The Humanist Magazine

America we have a problem! We have a group of DOMESTIC ENEMIES who have managed to seize political power and whose mission is in fact to bring ``change`` to America ___ the dismantling of our military defensive power; the allowance of our borders to be overrun by foreign invaders, the diluting of our election process by allowing ineligible persons to vote; the destruction of our manufacturing capabilities; the transferring of America`s technology to hostile foreign nations; the strangulation of our agricultural industry and ability to produce food under the guise of environmental necessity; the destruction of our nation`s health care delivery system, the interference with our ability to develop our natural resources, namely oil, to fuel our economy; the looting of both our federal treasury and a mandatory retirement pension fund; the brainwashing of our nation`s children in government operated schools; the trashing of our nation`s traditions and moral values; the creation of an iron fisted control unauthorized by our written Constitution over America`s businesses and industries; the devaluation of our nation`s currency, and, the future enslavement of our children and grand children via unbridled debt and inflation, not to mention an iron fisted government which intends to rule their very lives!

Who’s left? It’s either him or Romney, so they’ll suck-up to both. That’s the entertainment business.

Because Newt has a significant chance of becoming the nominee and it doesn’t pay to provide Obama with ammunition.

Whoever embodies your concept of a perfect conservative WILL NOT be the nominee!

So, you just keep doing Obama’s work.....

And yet...he still looks damned good by comparison to Romney or zero.

Newt has a 90 rating from the American Conservative Union. Many of your arguments are taken out of context, just like the quote they are attributing to him that he “will be the nominee.”

The writer of the article is essentially correct, but what other viable recourse do we have??

I know this question always comes up at every election - whether or not to vote the lesser of two evils. Some have come down of the side that if they guy/girl they want doesn’t get the nomination, then they will either not vote at all or will vote for a third party candidate who has no chance of election - justifying their righteous act of non-voting as making some kind of “statement”.

All I know is - Barack Obama must not be president again. The Democrat party must lose control of congress and the white house - our country cannot stand another 4 years. I don’t even know if we can recover from the damage already done.

I know the analogy has been made that voting Republican is only voting for slower socialism. The dems are going over the cliff at 100 mph (in fact are already over the cliff) while the repubs are going at 50mph.

I’ll take the 50mph and hope we can change direction before we get to the edge.

Newt is a great debater. He is a wealth of creative ideas, may of which can benefit America if he get's back in power. But he shows an inability to focus because of all those ideas.

Leadership and bold ideas are what we need. As watchers from outside the beltway, we the people tend to see the potential President much like a King who will be able to change what ever he wants with the wave of his hand.

Newt might be the guy to deliver on both ...BUT- he is going to have make a very definitive statement about the Global Warming crap he bought into with Nancy Pelosi or millions (read: MILLIONS) of people are going to stand against him!

Because they are NOT (nor have they ever been) on our side. They are pushing (and always have) who the GOP elite want. THe GOP elite want a RINO. They do NOT want a Conservative.

But, hey ... some of you just go ahead and vote for the lesser of two evils. Look where that has gotten us.

3 minutes into Newt’s answer about hooking-up with Carter on Education the listening audience would be switching away to another program. That’s the very short answer.

As I hear Rush Limbaugh say from time to time, “if ya don’t like the way the show is going, get your own show.”

Perhaps you could direct your questions to Newt himself and share the answers with the class John.

I rate Newt even worse than Romney. At least Romney’s private life looks like a choir boy next to Newt.

You won’t get any argument from me on that especially when the Republican Party leadership recently joined hands with the Democrats in passing the un-constitutional No Child Left Behind Act which is now used by the federal government to blackmail the States. BTW, isn’t that our current RINO Speaker of the House in the picture with a big fat grin on his face?

Newt has stated that the 6 to 12 million who have invaded our borders and their offspring will get to stay here if they haven’t broken specific laws…entering our country illegally not being on the list.

Newtie is too busy trying to impress the cultural elites who have brought upon our national crisis. He will NOT get my vote under any circumstances. No Conservative should support him, period (that also goes for Slick Willard).
