In an interview with President Obama's outgoing assistant Reggie Love on NBC's Rock Center Monday night, host Brian Williams fawned over the First Family: "...like a retro almost 1950s American family, that there's a kind of a wholesomeness about them. They play board games, they play on the floor of the living room with the dog, they're not the girls aren't allowed a lot of TV and social media." [Audio available here] Williams opened the interview with Love by touting how the presidential body man, "famously carried the President's Sharpies and Altoids and chap stick and

I agree but ther is (gasp) subterfuge!
The only thing about the Obamas that resembles a “1950s family” is Barack’s smoking habit and Michelle’s doughnut habit.
Those weren't fire alarms.... They were BS alerts.
To be successful in the Network news business you have to be politically correct. That means you must not think for yourself - you must parrot the elitist line. Brian did not get where he is on his ability for deep thought.
Gasp! Doesnt Brian Williams know that the 1950’s was a time of back alley abortions? And Gay folk were in the closet?
The kids are rented. Eventually people are going to find that out.
Hmm... the average 1950s family had neighbors who were weather underground terrorists? The average 1950s family got a real estate deal on their house courtesy of a Syrian backed with cassh from an Iraqi-born billionaire?
posterchild to ransomnote
You must not have seen the recently found missing episode yet, where Ward is a lightworker who travels to all 57 states, speaks fluent Austrian, and bows to Saudi kings. FDR spoke of it when he went on TV in 1929 and it was a big f-ing deal back then.

Thanks. I needed that laugh. And now I know what to ask Santa to put in my stocking...he’s probably already seen the ‘missing episode’ so maybe he’ll give me his copy...
When this photo was taken, Brian still hadn't bent all the way down.
“NBC’s Brian Williams Gushes Over 1950s ‘Wholesomeness’ of Obama Family”
WHY,in G*d’s doesn’t a GOP elite call this Brian fellow on it when he next interviews them?

Your point is well taken. My earlier reply said something snarky about the left’s successful tactics but that doesn’t mean the GOP is off the hook. I don’t even see the GOP elite TRYING to push back against this - they have quit the field and given the MSM free reign.
“Funniest newscast ever—tonight’s NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was overshadowed for the entire broadcast by fire alarms, sirens “

Very odd.
Bill Ayers is the wacky neighbor. “Oh that bill there he goes stomping on our American flag again” (laugh track)
I was an adult in the fifties.
We smoked a lot.
We drank a lot,and no white wine either. The hard stuff.
Williams is an ass.
The first thing that came to mind was that communist show on family guy.
I hear report cards were handed out today.
What were your grades?
Quit stalin and answer your father.
Go ahead honey and tell us your marx.
Did somebody say khrushchev?
I refuse to watch Brian Williams. I’ve never watched Brian Williams. I never will watch Brian Williams. He’s basically Communist scum in my book.
“Tim Geithner is a natural for Eddie Haskell.”
Wow, you are so right!
If it was a Republican President who had a lifestyle that reminded Brian Williams of the 50’s, the newscast would be about how out of touch, neanderthal, and clueless the 1st family was (and racist, with black and white footage in the lead in of “white’s only” signs and Klan rallies).
Most especially, the children are not allowed to watch NBC or any of it’s affiliates. Like Saluting Sponge Monger and Obama Butt Kisser, Brian Williams LOL
Speaking of Gay....Reggie Love is LEAVING Obama?? Lover's spat??
