He and his son were supposed to go down. Did not talk to him last night. Have been sick. He has not got to go to one game this year. We would be packed and something happened every time. How do the trees look? Oh, I signed him up for a seedling and he won. Was so happy for him. Think he is going to keep it in the house for a few years. Ordered us the Christmas ornament of a Toomer’s tree. War Eagle and Go Dawgs.

The trees look awful. The horticulturists haven’t given up on them, but it will take a miracle for them to pull through. The police dept. is keeping a closer watch on them this weekend to help ward of MORE vandalism.
The official position is that if bammers try to roll the trees, the PD won’t stop that. But traffic will not be stopped. If Auburn wins, which is greatly to be desired, then the PD will stop traffic at the Corner.

I hope they put Upchuck under the jail. I simply can not understand the mentality of Bama fans. Some are saying they have red/white paper to roll the trees. As a Bulldog fan, I hope AU beats the tar out of them. After all the junk they said to us over the past few years, I hope they lose every game. No fan should tell another school's fans that she hoped Cam got hurt so badly he would never play again. I do not understand that mentality. And a female, not a lady, was the one who told us that. I would never ever think about telling another fan to take off his AU clothes like another female told us. What is wrong with some fans? I was reading on FB that one fan said Bama fans had nothing to live for if they lost today. No game is worth that kind of mentality.

and now for the jokes
ALABAMA JOKE
An Alabama fan is drinking in a New York bar, when he gets a call on his cell phone. He hangs up, grinning from ear to ear, and orders a round of drinks for everybody in the bar, announcing his wife has just given birth to a typical Alabama baby boy weighing 25 pounds . Nobody can believe that any new baby can weigh in at 25 pounds, but the Alabama fan just shrugs and replies, “That’s about average back home. Gonna be a Crimson Tide football player.” Congratulations showered him from all around, amid many exclamations of “WOW!” One woman actually fainted due to sympathy pains.
Two weeks later, he returns to the bar. The bartender says, “Say, aren’t you the father of that Alabama baby that weighed 25 pounds at birth? Everybody’s been making bets about how big he’d be in two weeks. So, how much does he weigh now?” The proud father answers, “Seventeen pounds.” The bartender is puzzled, concerned and a little suspicious. “What happened? He weighed 25 pounds the day he was born!” The Alabama father takes a slow swig of his beer, wipes his lips on his shirt sleeve, leans into the bartender and proudly says, “Had him circumcised.”

What was that chant we all heard for eleven months after that? ... Punt Bama punt! When the Bear had them out to the forty-eight and Aassburn had not moved the ball more than thirty yards in a drive all day, and the Bear had them punt AGAIN! That is bad coaching, sorry to say.

What is wrong with some fans?"Fan" is short for fanatic, and no matter what team or group we talk about, there will always be some truly fanatical people in any given bunch. Lunatics are not exclusive to a particular group of "fans."

Sorry, but I have never been around fans of other schools that are as nutty as Bama ones. When we moved here in 1966, they were not bad but over the years, they gave become obnoxious. The only other fans that are about as bad were the OR fans in AZ. It is pretty sad when a dad allows his 6-8 year old sons to use bad language toward an AU man. Thankfully, my friend turned around and told those boys they should not use those words. They shut up and behaved from then on. Over the last 10+ years, bama fans here and in other places are plain out nuts. I never saw any of that between OM and State fans. Frankly, I am not going to lose any sleep over any loss and I sure am not going to cry on national tv like that Bama fan did after losing to LSU. I have lost to many close relatives-—daughter, brother, hubby, bil, mother and loads of close cousins to worry about losing a cotton picking football game. I have learned what is more important and it is not a game.

Who are the war eagles? Auburn?
To: vacuumbob
No, Auburn is the Tigers or The Plainsmen. Our battle cry is “War Eagle.” I think I’ve explained this on FR quite often.
And it is GREAT TO BE AN AUBURN TIGER!
