Apparently you can serve two masters.
In Montreal, QB Canada Marvin Elkind was a small-time Jewish hood working for the Italian Mafia who later became a police informant, and the 77-year-old's double life is the subject of the new book The Weasel by Adrian Humphreys as reported by Rene Bruemmer for The Gazette.
Elkind got his underworld start at the age of 18 as the driver for Jimmy Hoffa whom he chauffeured for four years, and he claims to know where the infamous Teamsters boss is buried as reported by Joe O'Connor for the National Post: "' have it on good authority that Mr. Jimmy Hoffa is resting at the Renaissance Center Hotel, in the concrete, in Detroit, Michigan,' says Marvin Elkind."
He "forged ties with some of the most notorious gangsters in Canada and the United States," and then flipped where for "25 years he worked for the OPP [Ontario Provincial Police] as well as the FBI, U.S. Customs, Scotland Yard and RCMP, helping cops get close to some nasty criminals" including Johnny "Pops" Papalia "who was gunned down in Hamilton, in a hired hit outside his Railway Street office in 1997" as reported by Susan Clairmont for The Spectator: "'He did the world a favour by not being alive today,' says The Weasel. 'Johnny was a very bad person. Pure evil. Liked to hurt people. He didn't like me, but he trusted me.'"

For a dead guy, Jimmy still gets around.
Maybe Geraldo can do a special?
Hoffa disappeared in 1975. The Ren Cen hotel went up in 1977. Where did they stash him for two years?
Construction on the Ren Cen began May 22, 1973
Foundations are part of the early construction phase.

Since the teamsters signed off on the Consent Decree the DOJ effectively runs the union under a federal trusteeship
Hoffa Lite doesn't sneeze without an OK from DOJ
James Riddle Hoffa was the father ... James P. Hoffa is there now after Government stooge Ron Carey was caught swaping cash for campaign contributions with leftist groups like Project Vote, ACORN Rich Trumpka and Andy Stern .... James P.'s brother 'Chuckie' was adopted ...... and there any number of back stories on that adoption
It is widely held that Chuckie was involved at a low level in setting up James Riddle's disappearance
in knowledgeable circles the story goes that Tony Jackolone (sp?) ... Jacko ... a Detroit criminal .... and/or Tony Provensano ... 'Tony Pro' ... JC 73 & LU 560 North Jersey .... facilitated the hit with their goons
The Detroit story ends with Jimmy as melted into a bumper and the Jersey story has two LU 560 business agents ... the Bragollio (sp) brothers ... bringing the body from Detroit to their south Jersey chicken farm where he was fed through a chipper and mixed with chicken feed
.
For some years, a popular urban legend purported that the remains of Jimmy Hoffa, whose disappearance coincided with construction of the stadium, had been buried under one of the end zones at the field.[18] ... This was tested by the Discovery Channel show Mythbusters, and they were unable to find any sign of a body.
I don't have a lot of confidence in their made-for-TV science, but it is entertaining. Maybe they can get another segment out of the new location.
It’s my understanding that the Obama Administration stopped DOJ’s oversight of the Teamsters in early 2009. Is the oversight team still operating?
We had him in our microphone trunk when our rock band toured the country from 1975-1977. Ask our roadies. They had to carry him.
Giacalone.
Taking his corpse to Jersey doesn’t pass the smell test
with me. Far more likely that it would be disposed of locally in MI.
Being part of the Renaissance Center seems like a suitable
place, since he was the foundation of the Teamsters.
who knows
.
I seem to recall that Tony Pro denied having anything to do
with Hoffa’s dissappearance, before he passed on.
Few union gangsters have the exquisitely barbaric pedigree of International Brotherhood of Teamsters president James P. Hoffa.
And few labor unions can match the Teamsters, the million-plus member union of truckers and blue-collar workers, for its legendary connections to organized crime, corruption, and violence. For decades the word Teamster was essentially a synonym for gangster.
Hoffa is the son of James R. Hoffa, the relentlessly corrupt, larger-than-life Teamsters president who worked closely with figures from the crime underworld. In July 1975 the elder Hoffa disappeared mysteriously outside a suburban Detroit restaurant at which he was planning to meet with two mobsters. His body has never been found.
Historian Thaddeus Russell likened the elder Hoffa to General George S. Patton. He exalted bravery and despised frailty, and presented himself as the toughest, strongest, and most ruthless fighter in the union, Russell wrote. Hoffa also once proudly proclaimed his potential to be the meanest bastard that God ever created.
Like his foul-mouthed, publicity-loving father, the younger Hoffa doesnt mince words.
Like most union leaders, Hoffa blames Wall Streets greed, stupidity and fraud for the nations economic problems, ignoring the role that Big Government meddling in the economy played in inflating the mortgage market bubble. He supports Occupy Wall Street and acknowledges that Teamsters all over the country are participating in Occupy Wall Street events.
When introducing President Obama at a Labor Day rally this year, Hoffa launched an attack, bellowing, We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party.
Well-practiced in the art of Saul Alinsky-style vilification, Hoffa told the crowd, Lets take these son [sic] of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong. Not surprisingly, President Obama, who encourages his supporters to find opponents and argue with them and get in their face, never distanced himself from Hoffas demonization of a large chunk of the U.S. population.
After the event, Hoffa invoked the Mother of All Leftist Cliches, telling ABC News; that conservatives want to roll the clock back to about 1900.

By virtue of the Consent Decree the teamsters are now run by the DOJ ... the rest is all just kabuki theater
.
I totally agree!
the word from the wise in JC 73 was chicken feed
.
perhaps in the foundation? construction started in 1973 first tower opened in 76 hotel in 77 (FPC must be a genius)
Interesting theory about what happened to Hoffa. My ex-mother-in-law was Hoffa’s secretary. She thinks they took him to a nearby car crushing/melting place. Who knows.
