In “vetting” Romney what the old media fails to report will tell the new media where to look

How many times have we heard or read a news report about a crime that went something like this: “In midtown today a brazen lunch time robbery took the life of an eighty year old woman who was knocked down and had her purse stolen in front of dozens of witnesses. Police provided this description: they are looking for a male about 5’ 8” of medium build wearing black trousers and a white tee shirt.”

By trying to hide the race of the perpetrator the Leftist media guarantees that we understand the killer is a male Black. What they left out tells us more than what they reported and fools no one over 12 years old.

Similarly when newspapers give us stories about a crooked politician, if the headline doesn’t say something like “Republican Republican Republican caught stealing…”

The first 12 of 13 paragraphs will avoid saying the crook is a Democrat if at all.

The fact that Willard Romney has pretty much been left alone by the old media in spite real features of his resume that will send conservatives running has NOT been lost on those of us who trust the new right wing blogosphere for our news.

Their silence is a sure sign that they are holding their fire hoping Willard gets our nomination so they can dump on him, get Obama reelected and squeeze the final spark of life out of America.

“…start Romney’s new media anal exam here and now, “Jump up on the table Willard and roll onto your side, we’re coming in!”

When Romney, who fancies himself as Mr. Transparency, left office ……Massachusetts, he had …..office, stripped of their hard drives.

He KNEW Romneycare would come up when he announced for president….

The new media: vetting Willard now because the old media wants to wait.

Is the Republican Party and Consevatives trying to form a firing squad in a circle? Am I the only guy out here who just wants to beat Obama no matter who runs against him? I think it time we try and park our “ideoligies” and focus on the survival of our nation. If that pisses some of you off, so be it.

In “vetting” Romney

Huckabee on Fox&Friends Saturday morning made two observations regarding Limbaugh’s commentary that the MSM were basically ignoring Romney:

1. Romney was vetted in 2008.

2. Limbaugh supported Romney in 2008.

==

Huckabee’s defense sounded much like he is supporting Romney this time around. In 2008, he supported McCain and played interference to keep Romney from getting momentum, however.

Romney was vetting in 2008. That was 2008. The voters have the right to requestion Romney on all the issues relevant to the current election. Romney, especially, deserves ‘revetting’ as many of his position frequently are ‘revised’ for current audiences/times.

Limbaugh did endorse Romney, but, listeners will remember that that endorsement was more anti-Yosemite Sam than pro-Romney when the race was down to two contenders and the Hucka-hander-on.

Plus one cannot forget that the Clinton beast, Hitlery, most assuredly has something on him in her 1000 stolen FBI files. But they ain't got nuttin' on Cain . . . and I think that's why they're throttling Cain.

It'll be interesting to see what stuff is being withheld on Romney, the dream Democrat Republican presidential candidate (Dole and McLame all rolled into one).

Yes, you are alone, I hope. Beating Obama means nothing if the guy who replaces him is just as bad. And if that guy has an (R) after his name, he’ll take the Republican party down with him.

It’s primary season. We’re not supposed to be nice to each other; we’re supposed to make sure we select the best candidate, IMO.

I don’t need the media to warm me on slick Willard.

I alreay think RINOmney is a slug, only slightly more moral than the Cretin-in-Chief.

I’ve said it N times (where N is a large number), and have heard it from others...I will NOT VOTE FOR RINOmney.

Of course, I will NEVAH vote for the Cretin-in-Chief, or for any dim-bulb-crat either.

Having a complete RINO like Romney will only drive the entire political debate to the left. Why even have 2 parties if one is Socialist and the other is Socialist Lite?

As for Rush, if Romney is the nominee he will endorse him enthusiastically.

Rush was still in “don’t speak ill of Republicans” mode in 2008.

As for Huckabee, he did indeed run interference for Juan McCain. He helped finish off Fred Thompson by doing robocalls in the Southern primary states that falsely told Southern Evangelicals that Fred was pro-abortion.

Fred had a pro-life record, but Huck repeatedly lied about it and helped the press eliminate him as a candidate.

I just don’t see the point. If we don’t know what Mitty is now, there’s little more that can be said.

We could rehash the dog incident.

Considering the fact that Fred is now pimping the national popular vote, we should be happy he was eliminated.

You sound like you want a white Obama for president. I have been hearing the same cadence every four years. We must pick who ever can beat...you fill in the name

Correct on all counts.

I think Huck tepid support for Romney is based on a combination of these factors:

You guys are nuts ~ the anti-Huck people ALL said that Huck had a deal with Romney and was his stalking horse.

I remember those days well. At the same time a couple of minor bloggers out there kept going after "The Huck" on the grounds that he was a McCain stalking horse.

The reality was that Romney was the Hildabeast's stalking horse ~ his intent was to steer the Republicans into selecting the weakest candidate.

If it weren't for the ideology, why would you oppose Obama? It's the ideology that matters.

The nation won't survive if we elect an Obama clone from the Republican party.

We are going off a cliff on spending, and it doesn't matter if we go off at 60MPH or 55MPH. If we keep spending at the current rate, we are looking at $15T in new debt. The Republican elite was only willing to talk about 1.2T in cuts over that time. So, the average DC Republican will not do what is needed to fix things. That's why it is important in the primaries to get rid of RINOs. Otherwise, why have primaries at all? Why not just het the RNC pick our candidates and avoid the fuss.
