Mike Wallace - "The Homosexuals" (1967)
You Tube
Wow! That was some report. Good luck doing that today. And Mike Wallace doing no less.
You just have to laugh at Gore Vidal at the end defending Faggotry. Pulling out the tire old playbook and saying that we are a laughing stock of the enlightened Europeans with our standards of decency. They still use that line today.
Homosexuality was the first scientifically diagnosed mental illness to be “cured” by political correctness.

The good news is that back then this was as far as they could go. Ending with a respected intellectual making the case for homosexuality and showing a couple of normal looking guys who are presumably homosexual and claiming that they were "displaced".
The bad news is that even as far back as 1967 the MSM was beginning the propaganda mill for homosexual rights.
Bump for later.
Gore Vidal was the “Queen” of the leftist media.
“The good news is that back then this was as far as they could go.”
Because in a 1967 cultural context, it would have been unthinkable to go further, even among Democrats.

In some ways, Vidal was more intellectually honest in that clip than the so called “gay marriage” activists are today. He freely admits that homosexual behavior is incompatible with Biblically orthodox Protestantism which he derides as “19th century” and that marriage is in his view “obsolete”. The real goal of the “sexual liberation” movement is truly the destruction of marriage and family so everyone will be dependent on the state.
