Stand With Arizona
The war against Alabama's immigration law has intensified in recent weeks, with a Justice Department lawsuit, visits by DOJ officials, and a showdown over illegal alien children who have been pulled from Alabama schools. Eric Holder sued Alabama, trying to block every aspect of its enforcement provision.
Why has the Administration and their ACLU and La Raza allies frantically tried to stop Alabama's law from being enforced?
Because it's WORKING - and putting legal Alabamans back to work. As illegals have fled the state by the tens of thousands, the jobs they took - particularly in poultry processing, building trades and transportation - are being filled once again by Alabama citizens. And the unemployment rate in the state has dropped as a result.
Alabama's unemployment rate fell a half percentage point last month - five times more than the national average of 0.1%. And the drop is not seasonal because it is also a far larger drop than in surrounding states.
To further support this trend, in one heavily Hispanic county with one of the highest percentages of illegal alien labor, the drop has been far more dramatic. Alabama House Majority Leader Rep. Micky Hammon, (R-Decatur), said the huge drop in Marshall County showed the power of Alabama's H.B. 56:
Hammond pointed to Marshall County, which he called "a known hotbed for illegal immigrant labor." He said the rate there was 8.1 percent for October, down from 8.8 percent in September and 10 percent in June, when the immigration law was signed. "When Marshall County's unemployment rate drops almost a full 2 percent since the law was signed, it's difficult to deny the law is having a positive effect on employment," Hammond said in his statement.Marshall County Rep. Kerry Rich (R) told WAFF-TV how poultry plants in his county have rapidly replaced illegal workers with legal ones to do the jobs that we are endlessly told "Americans just won't do":
EXCERPT...READ THE REST HERE
Too bad La Raza Rick Perry (and other governors) refuse to man up and take this kind of action.
Gee who would have thought.
BTTT
But ... but ... aren’t the crops in Alabama withering and dying because the illegal aliens leaving the state? What about those poor farmers and loss of their produce?
I’m being sarcastic but that point about Alabama’s crops gets mentioned whenever Alabama’s law is brought up.
So we now have proof that it works. And why Obama fights anything that restores Americans to self-sufficiency and gets them off the government teat.
When is Holder going to be indicted or at least fired for not doing his job? Holder is the poster boy for government waste.
One can only imagine if this law was enacted and strictly applied in California.
We might even have close to a balanced budget.
However, our legislators, who are addicted to spending OPM, are pushing ahead with the dream act and other freebies for the illegals and our non working American class.
But but... I thought the democrats were the party of the “workin man”
What about “working families”?
Sweet Home Alabama, 2011
Well I heard Eric Holder talk about her
Well, I heard ole Eric put her down
Well, I hope Eric Holder will remember
A Southern man don’t need him around anyhow
See, I told you so. As more and more illegals are chased away, the great state of Alabama will also see a drop in crime and see hospital budgets moving from red to black.
It really pisses me off, that even though the people of Texas sent a record number of Republicans to Austin in 2010, and captured the majority in both houses of the state legislature, we still couldn’t get a single anti-illegal immigration bill to the floor for a vote.
There were at least FIVE of them, and every one of them was killed through administrative finagling.
And not a word of protest was spoken by our dear Governor. Not one.
I understand from my state rep that there are some very influential business people who are big republican contributors in the Houston area, and that these people are the ones who keep shutting down any decent immigration control laws. Apparently they want to preserve the super cheap labor.
You should see the Emergency Room at the local hospital on Friday night and Saturday. Time for the illegals to get their free(paid for by your taxes) medical care.

“As illegals have fled the state by the tens of thousands...”
Where did they fly off to?
Splendid, Alabama. Just splendid.
Alabama again telling the Fed to do it’s job or by God, Alabama will.
Hope this Alabama legislation catches on everywhere.
