It really pisses me off, that even though the people of Texas sent a record number of Republicans to Austin in 2010, and captured the majority in both houses of the state legislature, we still couldn’t get a single anti-illegal immigration bill to the floor for a vote.

There were at least FIVE of them, and every one of them was killed through administrative finagling.

And not a word of protest was spoken by our dear Governor. Not one.

I understand from my state rep that there are some very influential business people who are big republican contributors in the Houston area, and that these people are the ones who keep shutting down any decent immigration control laws. Apparently they want to preserve the super cheap labor.
