His global warming nonsense disqualifies him in my opinion. He also worked for Obama.

Sorry Huntsman is and was willing to take an appointment from Obama, that is enough for me to write him off and he is at the bottom were he belongs. Huntsman is nothing more than another pretty boy RINO.

After seeing him and his three daughters on Hannity my opinion of him has changed some. I’m interested to know more about him and what he’s done in the past.

I’ve listened very carefully to Huntsman and watched him in the debates. What I know about him isn’t wrong ... he isn’t spinnin’ my wheels. When he “answers” a question, he is a fairly typical politician.

PJM went after Cain immediately after the accusations as I remember - now I know who they’re in the tank for.

Why are establishment Republicans trying SO hard to convince us to support someone — ANYONE — but the “unelectable” Herman Cain? Curiouser and curiouser.

Heard him speak about 2 months ago. Less exciting than watching paint dry.

...voters of the recalcitrant “not-Romney” bloc may soon begin to shift...

Ummm, no.

As a member of the bloc, I can tell you that the official title is

The recalcitrant “not-Romney, nor that little RINO twit from Utah, Jon Huntsman” bloc

but we've shortened it to "not-Romney" because its easier to remember and Huntsman is so far off the radar that he's not worth mentioning.

Huntsman is in there to run interference for brother Mormon Romney. He may be there also to split the votes among the other two leaders. Cain’s campaign has not suffered from the Lying Left. In fact it has benefitted big time.

Even the Levin poll showed Cain was at 55%, Gingrich at 42% and Ropmney at 4% about 10 or 12 minutes ago with 11041 total votes. Huntsman was single digit.

He’s an Obama butt-boy. Being pro-life doesn’t make him a conservative. The fact that the MSM loves him ought to tell you everything you need to know.

The second she lied by juxtaposing state tax levels for Huntsman with federal tax proposals by Perry and Cain, she lost me.

As Cain said, that’s apples and oranges, and I’m sure the writer knew that.

My only surprise is that this tripe wasn’t written by Ed Morissey.

In fairness to Huntsman, he might have created a better first impression if his candidacy had not been trumpeted so favorably by the MSM. He makes some of the right noises, but he has not generated trust in his bona fides, and being “the other moderate” doesn’t do him much good.

I think I prefer Huntsman to Romney. At least he admits he is a mod. On a few issues he is sort of conservative. with Romney, who knows?

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is something off about Huntsman’s persona - at least to me and DH.

We worked for a few minutes to try to define exactly what it is, and the best words we could come up with are:

unctuous, supercilious, very impressed with himself, but modest about it, glib, hypocritical, perhaps “Pecksniffian” (O’Reilly taught me that word).

At any rate, he carries his career in diplomacy as if it were a badge of superior comprehension, above us mere mortals. I hate diplomatic double-speak, and would always feel a great need to parce his words even more carefully than dear ol’ Bill Clinton’s.

Hunstman - no way!

Huntsman ‘Love Letter’ to Obama Speaks Volumes

http://bobmccarty.com/2011/06/23/huntsman-love-letter-to-obama-speaks-volumes/

Huntsman’s family gave nearly $25,000 to Reid last cycle

http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/ralstons-flash/2011/jun/22/huntsmans-family-gave-nearly-25000-reid-last-cycle/

“...And if they had a choice – and they did – many members of the newly minted presidential candidate’s family, including his parents, chose Reid in the most important U.S. Senate race in the country last cycle. Indeed, the Huntsmans have long been Reid supporters, although the former governor, who is scheduled to be be in Nevada on Friday, has never given directly to Reid's Senate campaigns.

But his parents and a couple of his brothers (Peter, James) and some in-laws have. And his Dad even helped the Nevada Democratic Party ($5,000) in 2008. I’m told Reid has known the senior Huntsman since the 1990s and is friendly with the son, too...”
