One problem with your theory - the homo perv was forced to retire after being caught showering with a boy in 1998. This incident was known to police.

The rape happened during spring break in 2002. Sandusky was banned from the campus after that incident.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I read somewhere here that Paterno indeed contacted police after McQueary told him what he saw.

Wrong. Sandusky has had continued access to the football program since that time. Former players from the mid 2000s have said this to the media in the last few days. They met him along with children from The Second Mile Foundation on campus. Paterno sent players to do volunteer work at the foundation after 2002. If a player violated team rules, they were sent to work at the foundation.

Also, a recruit has stated to the media that Sandusky came to his last spring game (this year) and talked to him about going to Penn State.

Victim 1 was raped between 2007-2008, so Sandusky’s behavior was undoubtedly continuing on and on with Penn State administrators and coaches feeling that they had covered themselves somehow, legally, by banning Sandusky and having acquired assurances from him. Stupid but probable, IMHO.

Pedophiles have increased urges over time which become increasingly difficult for them to control. They get more experienced and bold as well.

Once McQueary was well into his teenage years he would have become unattractive to a pedophile; so from about 1988 or so and thereafter, Sandusky would have had no interest in McQueary sexually.

Being so interested and dedicated to football and Penn State, it’s very plausible that McQueary would have stayed at Penn State after graduation and continued to work there even with Sandusky having access to the facilities, as the two would simply have an unspoken “understanding” from the early 90’s onward. He has nothing more to fear from Sandusky and simply has to remain silent about what he knows - and he convinces himself that Sandusky is no longer raping or at least he puts it out of his mind and just pursues his career under the wing of Paterno at his beloved Penn State.

No,he wasn't banned from the campus...his locker room keys were taken and he was warned not to bring kids onto the campus again. He still had access to the campus itself.

Not true. Sandusky was working out on campus up and till about a week ago. He was a professor emeritus with an office on campus and a $55K annual salary. No charges were pressed immediately after the 2002 incident. Six years passed before it was looked at again.

Sandusky was not banned from the campus, at all, until last weekend.

Just stop it. Read before you keep posting on these threads.

They took away his keys to the football showers in 2002. He was told not to bring boys on campus and AD Curley's testimony in the GJ documents is that PSU had no way of enforcing that. He kept his emeritus status and was still in the campus directory until Sunday. He was in the Athletic building weight room late last week (not the 'student gym').

I don’t think he was banned from the campus after 2002. That’s what makes this even more outrageous and reprehensible. He continued to come on campus. Supposedly, he was working out in the football building only a few days before all of this blew up this month.

I’ve read people on these threads say that Sandusky was on campus as recently as a week ago (that was a few days ago). I wish I could remember the names. I’ve read also that he had an office on campus, could use the gym facilities and more. He wasn’t banned from campus.
