One Term Obama
A Hollywood Republican ^ | 11-7-11 | Tim Ross

Posted on 11/08/2011 12:06:15 AM PST by MrTim29

One year from today we will know whether or not Barack Obama will continue as President of the United States for another four years. If history has anything to do with it, the American public will be able to breathe a sigh of relief as we give him his walking papers.

It has nothing to do with the fact that a recent poll reveals that 55% of Americans believe Obama will be a one-term president. Nor does it have to do with the fact that a current poll suggest that any Republican candidate would beat Obama in an election by a margin of 8.0 points. It has nothing to do with the Obama supporting Apple icon, Steve Jobs, predicting Obama would be a one term president. And it certainly doesn’t have anything to do with Obama’s appearance on a February 2, 2009 episode of the Today Show coming back to haunt him when he proclaimed that if he can’t turn the economy around after three years “then there is going to be a one term proposition.” Well, it's almost three years later and not only is the economy not better, it's much worse.

So, if it is not all that is mentioned above and more, then what is it?

It has to do with Obama’s poll numbers 365 days out from the election. According to Gallup’s most recent weekly approval rating average, Obama’s approval rating is at 42% on November 6, 2011. And of all the Democrat presidents since World War II whose job-approval scores were lower than 52% one year before Election Day... none went on to win a second term. Obama is a full 10 points away from that mark... not even within the margin of error.

If that’s not enough, of all the presidents – Democrat and Republican – since World War II whose job-approval ratings were lower than 49% one year before Election Day... none have went on to win a second term.

Did you hear that? None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

So, if history has anything to do with it…. One year from now, America will vote Obama -- one of the worst Presidents in history -- out of office. For many that day won't come soon enough.

Don't fret Democrats, Obama has said that there are days when he says one term is enough and that he and his family would be okay with one term. Besides, there are more important things he needs to accomplish and this Presidency-thing is just getting in the way...

Wasn’t that his nickname from one of the colleges he hung around in the 80’s ?

I believe this whole "one-term" thing is being overblown. The marxist obambi has the charisma, which everyone is forgetting about. Remember Clinton's second election? We learned at that point in our history that elections had become more about "cult of personality" than behavior or actions.

I predict obambi will get another term and become such a dictorial President with his EO's that Congress will finally stand up and reign him in. Mark these words and let me know.

Also, with Israel facing Iran and all the other "Arab Spring" nations, we could be involved in a ME war before 11/2012. That will change everything. I'm telling my wife to cash out of her 401 - war is coming in the Middle East. Am I wrong?

The charisma of Karl Marx?
I find nothing at all that is endearing about Obumbo.
His only charisma is his teleprompter.

Those polls speak to a “Generic” Republican beating Obama, not “any.” Rick Santorum, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman and Michele Bachmann would not defeat him.

I wish I shared that optimism.. today`s dumbed-down electorate, with its instant-gratification mindset, and the Internet and 24-hour newscycles that serve it, can change its mind on a dime.

Not that Obama can`t be defeated... with the “Fast and Furious” scandal smoldering and the Dem-aligned OWS getting more violent by the day, along with a stumbling economy, factors come into play that keep this Presidential race a winnable one.

But the author puts too much faith in past history. The old “rules” don`t apply so much anymore.

We here at FR find nothing endearing about him, but we`re a small, conservative slice of the populace.

Unfortunately, America isn`t as center-right as many of us want to believe.

Yes, I agree, and one reason I am happy not to be there now.
Obumbo, however, is charismatic only to Marxist, in their quest to turn the USA into the USSA.
For the average person, however, I see nothing at all
charming or charismatic.

No, you are right. A war is the only way he gets to have another 4 years, and a war is what we are going to get.

So, if history has anything to do with it….

But... but... but....

O'Bama is 'historic'...he keeps telling us that.

Chilling!
