El Norte Newt is just a flopper.
Exactly HOW much of the Contract With America ever passed?
Newt is just out for Newt.
Knee.Hammer.Jerk.
I was so distraught, that I commented on the wrong post. Here is the link:

Hee hee!
That sounds like something Palin said. Offer them temporary work visas, and give them a few months. If they come out in the open, we can track them, and make them leave when their visas expire if we don’t need them. If they don’t, deport them.
I think Perry had a similar idea he spoke about tonight, but I haven’t been able to get a full transcript yet, so I’ll hold off talking about his “plan”.
I forgot Gingrich had said something similar, but it makes sense — he’s a smart guy.
This isn't the first "sudden revelation" on immigration today (Perry & Newt). I'm sure it's all coincidental and not nervous Cain supporters afraid people will look elsewhere when folks conclude he's not ready for prime time.
Newt talked about what he'd do with those already here at (I think) the Reagan library debate. He'd let local communities give input on who should stay and why, what they need, and model that process after WW1 draft boards.
This would only happen after the border is secure which he's said he can do by Jan. 1, 2014.
Other than Perry, who wrote an op-ed against Bush/McCain's "pathway to citizenship" scheme around 2006, other candidates try not to touch the after the border is secure problem. They dodge and weave; Romney has in particular.
Sarah Palin offered the same kind of plan in 2010 when on with O'Reilly: mass registration and work visas. Video on YouTube.
