Based on a suggestion from a local blogger to look into political donors on the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association for potential ties to presidential campaigns, I have attempted to identify anyone privy to inside information about the National Restaurant Association who also has recent ties to any presidential campaign.
According to the October 2011 FEC report for ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT INC. a gentlemen named Steven C. Anderson gave $1,000.00 on July 14, 2011. FEC search function here.
Steven C. Anderson is the same gentlemen who took over the helm as Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association (after a brief intermission) upon Herman Cain's departure in 1999. As CEO it is highly likely he would have been privy to details of litigation and threats about litigation from the immediately previous tenure of Herman Cain.

I am not necessarily a Cain supporter at this point, but not against him in any fashion.
So far, I have seen no Republican candidate that really excites me.
My first instinct is that whoever the Republican candidate is, I will vote for him. But unfortunately several of them are past being called RINOs, and we do not have time to wade through another failure in leadership.
It is TIME for “one of us” to lead us out of this mess. And it Will require some massive shrinking of the bureaucracy in DC. Not minor, but massive.

He is pretty open about his phone number, very easily determined.
I did find it interesting that there were many hits concerning him that lead to Justia.com records. That may be a common thing for an attorney near DC, but I would like to know more about his background.
Looking at something like this is like looking at a mosaic picture. Too close and it makes no sense, but move away and the whole thing comes into focus.
Sometimes that's all one can do.
Let's hope fate provides us all with an alternative this round!
1.) Most of the popular pundits think the source came from the left; while the grass root tends to think it came from another republican;
2.) Fund raising increased because the grass root believes the establishment is behind the source and wants to insure a tea party guy is not rail roaded.
3.) This guys tie to Romney could be a coincident, but given how Romney supporters on the McCain's campaign treated Sarah Palin, we are not surprised.
Agree on all 3 points.
I plan to look for a little background on the author of this article. That might shed some light on what is going on here, if anything.

Can you name the candidate(s) who have, on several occasions stated this "sledgehammer" or "wreckingball" approach to the Fe'ral Government?
Calvin Coolidge wasn't a gifted speaker and charismatic personality, yet by many measures he was a Great President.

I should have been more clear in the previous post, Northern Virginia Lawyer is a blog. My link to Stephen C Anderson is not.
Although Anderson says the NRA has close ties with Republican leadership in the House and Senate; the organization has strived to knock out more of a bipartisan in age and forge closer relationships with the more moderate Democrats.
Bingo, we have a winner.

Dick Marriott was head of the National Restaurant Association.
In other words, Romney has an “inside track” with the NRA.
Dick Marriott’s father, J. Willard, was BEST FRIENDS with Romney’s father, George.
Mitt is actually named after J. Willard Marriott. Mitt’s name is really Willard Mitt Romney.
Mitt served on board of Marriott.
