I lost track (no pun intended)....when is the Iowa caucus...?
"Some smart voters we have there in Iowa.[/S]
So you're saying that Iowans get their "news and information" from the LMSM?
That they don't know the first thing about the history of the founding of this country?
That they are so shallow that they think a social conservative is one who SAYS God words, but doesn't necessarily think everyone else should be held to the same standard?
That they are willing to substitute a candidate's values for TV hair?
Then you'd be right.
“Being pro life is more than being against the murder of unborn children.”
Choose any two days on the calendar.
Together, more American children have died due to abortion than the entire war on terror.
Any two days.
Equivocating the two is hardly a prolife position.
Logical; Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, and Cain are dividing the social conservative vote while Romney doesn't compete for it at all. If there were only one social conservative those votes might be unified, although I rather doubt they would be. Conservatives, including social conservatives tend to divide into factions.
Thank you for the history lesson...although somewhat gratuitous and overly-precise.
BTW... Rick Sanctimonious lost his last PA Senate race by 20 points...gotta make you wonder what he is doing up there on the debate stage with the other folks besides drawing air and taking up space.
Some years ago Rick was the fair-haired boy in the Republican party. He has since been replaced with Rubio, Ryan and others.
What has he got remaining other than a permanent guest spot on the Greta show?
A “Social Conservative” at the federal level is an unconstitutional concept. Our culture is what it is and the feds need to be powerless in this area if liberty is to be reinstated. The enumerated powers in article 1, section 8 provide no authority to legislate culture. The individual states have some latitude in this area.
Nor the sound drubbing by what?...20% in the following election after said endorsement.
You haven’t heard about Santorum’s many many children and his special needs youngster? This guy is no flip-flopping pro-lifer.
Like Bush did with his education bill, Santorum did for Bush with Spector. He took one for the team to win the majority and it bit him really bad.
I would say that the one had a lot to do with the other.
Just my opinion.
That graphic drives me nuts. It should say “beholden” and not “beholding.”
Yes, sir - very true.
Now he's got a vicious attack ad against Herman Cain trying to exploit the prolife/abortion confusion.
I’m a Perry supporter, but beginning to like Cain. But I am sick and tired of Fox News and the rest of the media saying Cain has absolutely no chance of getting the nomination. Let me put it this way, with the Tea Party being the reason the GOP has retaken the Congress, it is a sad joke that a New England liberal is being pushed down conservative’s throats by the Karl Rove wing of the republican party. McRomney can’t beat Obama, a strong conservative, that conservatives feel good about supporting can. From abortion, to homosexual marriage, to the 2nd amendment. To global warming. Can anyone tell me the difference in McRomney and Obama. I didn’t think so. And if Perry does finally call it quits, his supporters are not going to McRomney. They would go Cain. That’s another angle that is not being mentioned by anyone.
The thing about Rick is that he is loyal to a fault. he backed Arlen because Arlen backed him. It cost him dearly.
Ronald Reagan once said” Thou not speak ill of a fellow Republican”.
Rick is hated by the left on his stance on abortion and Gay marriage. He isnt a RINO. If it wasnt for the backlash he would have beaten Caesy without breaking a sweat. The deabtes between Caesy and Rick was a joke. Caesy looked like a idiot.
I am talking of his campaign in 1990 when he triangulated his position on abortion.
Well said. I always liked Santorum until he started bashing his fellow Republicans in a very nasty way.
Sorry, but I thought the dumbest comment was Pelosi being a great speaker of the house...
